I hate to get involved, but even Alan Moore dislikes the Killing Joke. Personally, my favorite is Going Sane, a 1991 story where the Joker attempts to reform after apparently killing Batman.
I am also not a fan of Killing Joke. It's overrated, doesn't reveal his real name and gives us more questions than answers. I still think his real name is Jack Napier, though.
I'm more not a fan of the Killing Joke because how nasty it is (particularly to the Gordons) and how much it's affected Joker's development. However, I prefer the Joker's identity to remain unknown.
