Question about Catwoman

I'd like this answered once and for all: Is she typically killed by water, Wicked Witch of the West style?

I remember in the Adam West movie, Catwoman says "Penguin! You know I can't take water!" and Penguin says "You cowardly kitten! You wanna live forever?" And in the final battle, she is literally the ONLY one who doesn't fall into the water.

And I remember I think Family Guy once had someone says that water would melt Catwoman.

But, when I saw Batman: Hush, there is a moment in which Superman (partially under Poison Ivy's control) knocks Catwoman into the water and she is completely unharmed.

Was this a deviation from traditional style, or was she never like the Wicked Witch of the West to begin with? (Perhaps the Adam West version simply hates water to highlight her whole cat thing)

I know she is one of the few supernatural Batman characters I know of, due to her nine lives, but if that's supposed to make her more catlike, cats aren't killed by water, they just dislike water.

She’s not usually supernatural. Most of the time she’s a normal human. She’s only supernatural in Batman Returns. And the whole “don’t like water” thing in ‘66 is just a joke about how cats hate water since pretty much all the villains in that make their gimmicks their entire personalities.

No, she doesn't die if you expose her to water. She just hates being wet or being in water because of the "cats hate being wet". I think the actual incident may be related to their fear of drowning. If anything, I wouldn't treat Family Guy as a reliable source, since that's a comedy and most of its stuff is said because the characters are self-absorbed idiots or its writers think it's funny.

Aside from Batman Returns, that god-awful Catwoman film and a few non-canon stories, Catwoman's not a character with supernatural ties. Sure, she has been depicted with "nine lives", but it's not like Spider-Man's Black Cat having luck based abilities. She's still human and capable of making mistakes, just like Batman.
