Alfred Pennyworth was the butler of Bruce Wayne. He often maintained the Batcave and helped Batman and his allies investigate the criminals of Gotham City. Alfred serves as a playable character in all the LEGO Batman games, though also appears as a supporting or minor character in both them and other entries.

LEGO Batman: The Videogame[]
Whilst Batman and Robin investigated Riddler's schemes, Alfred helped the decipher the clues left to the target: the Gotham Gold Reserves. He was later seen helping Robin modify the Batcopter to equip a bomb. However, as he and Batman left for Ace Chemicals, Alfred was shocked when device chosen was dropped accidently, fainting from shock when it didn't detonate.
Alfred can be seen in the Batcave and Wayne Manor, often walking around with a tray in hand. Though it's possible to kill him, he (like other characters) will respawn off-screen. Alfred can be purchased as a playable character for Free-Play Mode through the Bat-Computer systems, costing 75,000 studs.
