Amina Franklin was the sister of Wayne Franklin, the deranged vigilante known as Grotesk. She worked at Saint Eligius Medical Center and Leslie Thompkins' clinic in Gotham City. A Russian mobster named Perun targeted Amina as a means of avenging himself against her allegedly deceased brother Wayne. Batman arrived in time to prevent Perun from harming Amina. Whilst staying in police protection, Wayne eventually attacked and kidnapped Amina, planning to graph her face onto his. When Batman arrived to stop him, he stabbed her in the throat to ensure he could escape the Dark Knight. Amina died in Batman's arms as he attempted to save her, her final request that he stopped her brother from escaping.
