The Arkham Inmate is the only patient at Arkham State Hospital with no name tag on his uniform.

Biography[]

The inmate resided at Arkham State Hospital which also houses his idol Arthur Fleck, also known by his alter-ego Joker. Arthur is later put on trial for the murders he committed two years ago, which would earn him the death penalty if found guilty. Despite Arthur once again embracing his Joker persona and representing himself, Arthur decides to dismiss the Joker identity when having a change of heart. Arthur briefly escapes when his followers blow up the courthouse, but he is rearrested and sent back to Arkham to await execution.

Arthur is informed by security that he has a visitor. Arthur follows the guard, but ends up falling behind and is on his own in the corridor. The Arkham inmate catches up with Arthur. After briefly talking to him, the inmate fatally stabs Arthur multiple times. As Arthur is laying on the floor and bleeds to death, the inmate cackles and cuts his cheeks with the knife.

Trivia[]

  • The ending implies that Mr. White will go onto taking over the Joker identity and becoming Batman's future archenemy.
  • He carves himself the Glasgow smile similar to the John Van Fleet and Lee Bermejo designs that impacted the look of John Caglione Jr.'s makeup appliances for Heath Ledger's portrayal.
  • The character vaguely resembles a pre-disfigured Jerome Valeska, a prototype Joker from the television series Gotham. The Jerome character was used in similar way as a precursor to the true Joker, Jeremiah Valeska.
