The arrest of Edward Nashton was an event cause when The Riddler purposely turns himself in to Gotham’s authorities.
Background[]
After assassinating the mob boss Carmine Falcone, Nashton is spotted by the Police and the Batman,The Riddler then escape down the fire escape from his flat to a nearby diner. The GCPD and the Batman then raided Nashton’s flat only find he’s gone, they find a lot of evidence that indicates they found the mysterious killer.
Officer Martinez informs LT.James Gordon that a witness spotted Nashton fleeing to the diner just after the shooting.

surrounding the diner the police move it to arrest Nashton,the authorities go into the diner and make the Riddler put his hands in the air, Nashton informs them that he just ordered a slice of pumpkin pie,the police then pinned Nashton down on the table and cuff him,The Riddler’s smiles to himself when he sees the Dark Knight,Officer Martinez then asks Nashton who he is due to the serial killer having multiple identities on him.The Riddler is then take into custody and eventually transferred to Arkham State Hospital.
Aftermath[]
After Nashton is taken away the police and the Batman return to his flat to investigate the serial killer’s house, after finding evidence of each of his targets, noting that Nashton had a large fan base.Gordon gets a phone call on Nashton at Arkham wanting to see the Batman, which the hero leaves for.
Upon learning what The Riddler is planning Batman leaves Arkham to discover what he is up to ,sneaking into Nashton flat Batman is found by Officer Martinez,Batman picks up the tool that Riddler killed Mayor Mitchell with ,to which Martinez informs the hero that it is a carpeting tool a tucker to which Batman figures out to rip up the carpet, where he and the officer discover Nashton’s plan.
Batman notices the conversation between Nashton and his followers realising that the flooding was only part of the plan.whilst watching a video of Nashton explaining to his followers what they will do in order to finish the plan by attacking Gotham Square Garden Which civilians have taken refuge in and Bella Reál’s election speech is taking place, the Batman then leaves to defeat the Riddler’s followers.
