" It is legitimate! I saw it. I was there. I saw it all. He reached up with his dead hand and signed it in his own blood. And he did it with this pen. Hello, Vinnie. It's your Uncle Bingo. Time to pay the check."

Events SurroundingEdit

After Joker murdered Carl Grissom and intimidated the other Gotham City Crimelords in his absence, Vinnie Ricorso attempted to gain control of the Grissom empire.

Killing RicorsoEdit

Press coverageEdit

Alexander Knox waited patiently outside with many other journalists to question Ricorso on Grissom's disappearance. Bob the Goon scouted the area with his camera while the goons posed as mimes entertaining the crowd. Bruce Wayne arrived after visiting the site of parents murder, Vicki Vale appeared moments later, having followed him the entire way. A Fat Mime began posing next Wayne and young girl, irritating him. A Tall Mime approached Wayne directly, mockingly waving at him.

Joker appearsEdit

While Ricorso and his advisors greeted the press on the steps of City Hall, Joker suddenly appeared, shouting about the legitimacy of the Grissom signature. While everyone watched the Joker, the mime goons gathered around a yellow cart full of guns pushed by Lawrence. When Joker threw a poison quill pen into Ricorso's neck, the goons spread out and fired their guns at the crowd after Joker declared the "Pen is mightier than the sword." After the goons killed Ricorso's advisors and two police officers guarding the building, they entered a black sedan getaway vehicle. Bruce Wayne approached the car, looking at Napier's face closely in disbelief. Bruce immediately returned to Wayne Manor to consult with Alfred.
