Batman: Death in the Family is an upcoming American animated short film based on the storyline with the same name[1] is a prequel to the movie Batman: Under the Red Hood and is set to release on Blu-ray and DVD on October 13, 2020.

Development

Batman: The Animated Series alumni Kevin Conroy (Batman) and Mark Hamill (the Joker) teased producing an animated adaptation of A Death in the Family during a panel at Canada's Fan Expo in 2016. An interactive film based on the comic is set to be released in 2020 which will also serve as a follow-up to the film Batman: Under the Red Hood with the cast from the latter film reprising. The viewer can also directly choose during viewing of the showcase Jason Todd's fate.
