Batman: The Telltale Series, also known as Telltale's Batman, is an episodic point-and-click graphic adventure video game developed and published by Telltale Games. The game is a fresh interpretation of the Batman mythos, not being tied to any existing iteration, and set in modern times. The game features a similar branching narrative as other past Telltale games, giving the player options for how to approach a situation and having that choice affect later events in the game. The game also presents situations to the player where they may choose to approach as either Bruce Wayne or as Batman.
A sequel, Batman: The Enemy Within, was released episodically from August 8th 2017 until March 27th 2018, following on from the events of the game. The two games were given optional noir-graphic filters on December 17, 2019 for Windows and Xbox One. On the same date, they were packaged together as Batman: Shadows Edition.
Plot
The player will be able to take the role of Batman as both the superhero and as Bruce Wayne, his alter ego as they deal with the threats of the Children of Arkham and the allegations towards his late parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne.

Gameplay
Unlike other Batman video games, The Telltale Series uses a point-and-click style of gameplay. The player mainly controls Batman and his alter-ego, Bruce Wayne, in dialogue sections, some of which changes conversations. The player can also chose which actions he can perform, such as saving certain characters or dealing with situations.
In certain sections, the player can control Batman or Bruce in an environment, allowing them to investigate and interact with the area. During these, they have to find items, talk to characters or solve puzzles to continue the story. In some sections, Batman must investigate a crime scene to determine what happened and who is responsible. To solve these, he must link pieces of evidence to make an assumption. If the player believes their assumption to be wrong, they can break the link to create others.
Combat mainly consists of quick-time events, which require the player to press the right button before a limited time. Failure in some of these results in player death. Batman can also use this link system to plan out encounters and decide how to take out enemies, with multiple options available.
Throughout gameplay, Batman's choices will either change the story or impact relationships between him and other characters. These decisions will last throughout the rest of the series, though the player can replay the episodes and change the outcome. After completing each episode, their decisions will be compared to with other players. The results will show how many players also made their decisions or took a different option. At the end of the season, the player will be shown their Batman's personality.
