Batman is a superhero who protected Gotham City and the leader of the Batman Family. After witnessing his parents' murder at the hands of a mugger, Bruce Wayne swore to fight and eliminate crime in the city through a war of crime and vigilantism. Batman would work with the Justice League and come into conflict with various villains, including the Joker, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, Riddler and Bane. Batman also came into frequent contact with Harley Quinn after she broke up with Joker following years of abuse and neglect.
