Batman is the player-protagonist of Telltale Games' Batman series. A masked vigilante who battles crime and corruption in Gotham City, his true identity is philanthropic billionaire Bruce Wayne, who swore to his crusade after witnessing the murder of his parents. During the twentieth anniversary of his parents' deaths, Batman found himself pushed to the limits when a terrorist cell called the Children of Arkham attacked the city and revealed his father to be linked to organized crime. He eventually defeated them and their leader, Lady Arkham, but his family's reputation was damaged by the revelation of his father's actions. A couple of months later, Batman found himself fighting a number of criminals that had come to Gotham, in the wake of his battle with the Children of Arkham. During the encounter, he would influence one of the members of the group, leading to him becoming a vigilante or villain called the Joker.

Biography

Bruce Wayne was the son of Dr. Thomas Wayne and his wife Martha and heir to the Wayne fortune. When he was nine years old, the family, whilst returning from the Monarch Theatre of a showing of "The Mark of Zorro", were ambushed in an alleyway by Joe Chill, who shot his parents dead. Before he could kill Bruce, Chill was forced to flee upon hearing police sirens. Picked up by the family's butler Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce grew up under his care and guidance. After this event, he pledged to avenge his parents and make Gotham a safer place.

After years of training and by his late twenties, Bruce had secretly become a vigilante known as the "Batman". In this identity, he was fighting crime and corruption in Gotham, becoming known as an urban legend within the city. As his civilian identity, Bruce became friends with District Attorney Harvey Dent and, as Batman, an ally of Police Lieutenant James Gordon. Bruce also received help in his operations from Alfred and Lucius Fox, both of whom were aware of his double life.

Season One

Realm of Shadows

NOTICE: The events described are impacted by the player's decisions. This is only a brief summary of the events that take place. Upon receiving police reports that Gotham City Hall was being invaded by a group of armed mercenaries, Batman alerted Gordon that he was going in. Locating them on the 52nd floor, he swung into the building and took down four of the six assailants. He also fought the leader of the group, throwing him into the Mayor's office. There, he discovered that a woman in a catsuit had broken in already and had stolen from the safe. After defeating the last member of the mercenaries, Batman chased her to the roof. The two fought briefly, during which he bruised her eye and recovered an encrypted drive stolen from the safe. After being shot by an officer, he tried to subdue the thief with a Bat-Stunner, causing her to fall off the building. Batman jumped after and caught her, but she escaped by pickpocketing his Grappling Gun from his utility belt and using it to hang from a passing monorail.

Bruce returned to Wayne Manor, where Alfred performed minor surgery to close his new wounds and prepared for the fundraiser he was hosting to help Harvey's campaign for Mayor. After witnessing his speech, Bruce and Harvey talked, the latter inquiring about the former's lateness. Bruce also tried to convince Wayne Enterprise Board members Robert and Regina Zellerbach into voting for Harvey and got into a brief conversation with Gotham Gazette reporter Vicki Vale. After being informed by Alfred that crime lord Carmine Falcone had arrived, Bruce briefly chatted with Harvey, who admitted to inviting the crime-lord, in the hopes that he would help get the strings pulled to get him into the Mayor seat. Bruce was forced to welcome Falcone and talk with him privately in the parlor. Harvey may also attend the meeting, should he insist that he joins them.

Falcone offered Bruce to become one of his "friends" within Gotham, hoping that getting him would increase his influence on Dent. When reluctant, Carmine also brought up Bruce's father, stating that he knew which people to associate with and influence Gotham. Regardless of whether Bruce chooses to associate with Falcone or not, the meeting was interrupted by Alfred. However, depending on dialogue chosen, Falcone will leave either in good spirits or angry.

After the fundraiser, Bruce returned to the Batcave and began looking at the drive he'd confiscated from "Catwoman". He found it was encrypted, but set the Batcomputer to decrypt it and found that it contained a map of Gotham, notably the East Side Docks. He also searched up Catwoman in the GCPD archives, finding nothing about her but a few jobs outside the city. Whilst talking to Alfred, who worried about his frequent activities as Batman and the possibility of him either dying or having his activities exposed, Bruce also learnt that his childhood friend Oswald Cobblepot had been at the fundraiser and was making arrangements to meet up in his family's old park. Learning more about Oz's past after he'd left Gotham, Bruce decided to attend, hoping it either to reconnect with him or find out why he returned to Gotham.

Bruce went to Cobblepot park at the allotted time but received a text from Oswald saying that he was running late. Whilst waiting at the statue, Bruce was set upon by two muggers, only for Oswald to arrive and assist in fighting the criminals. Oswald greeted him and the two conversed about their own pasts since their last meeting, particularly the Cobblepot family's collapse, and Bruce's parents' deaths. They also discussed Carmine's attendance of the party, with Oswald showing his displeasure towards the crime boss, expressing his desire to see him fall. He then brought up that he was leading a "revolution" that would change Gotham and told Bruce that when it started, he'd better be on the right side. Oswald left to organize the revolution, whilst Bruce received a text from Alfred about the Wayne Memorial Hospital press conference.

Arriving at the conference just in time, Bruce and Harvey announced their intentions to use it to replace the decrepit Arkham Asylum. During the conference, Bruce received a text from Alfred, asking him to come back to the manor urgently. Bruce can either ignore it or responds, promising to come when it was convenient. After giving a speech about his parents' sacrifice, Bruce held a Q&A at the conference. During this, he learned that all media establishments had received information about an account held by both his father and Carmine Falcone. Receiving many questions about his family's ties to Falcone's crime family, Bruce decided to leave and received a call from Alfred, who told him that the GCPD were raiding Wayne Manor.

Bruce returned immediately, only to find the GCPD officers in the middle of the investigation. Led by Lieutenant James Gordon, the officers took many files related to Wayne Enterprises and left some of the house in a state of mess. Gordon also left a warrant with Bruce, which was approved by Mayor Hill. After picking up a photo of him and his parents, Bruce had a flashback to their murder at Chill's hands, but this was interrupted by Vicki.

She returned to comfort him and get a quote to get his side of the story. After they discussed possible theories on who may have released this "evidence", Vicki asked Bruce to give a quote to defend himself. If Bruce agrees to give a quote, choosing to either that his family is innocent, justice will be served or claim that the story is just fiction. As Vicki left, she reassured Bruce that he would beat these rumors. After she left, he and Alfred decided to check out the warrant with Harvey, to see whether he had knowledge about what had happened.

Bruce went to Café Triste that evening, where he met Harvey and produced the warrant. Surprised that Hill had done this without his authority, they discussed plans to find out why the Mayor had done this. The conversation was interrupted by Harvey's date, Selina Kyle, who Bruce easily recognized as Catwoman, due to the bruise on her eye. Whilst he pretended not to know her, he tried to learn more about her and the cover story for her black eye. Whilst Harvey left to rally damage control, Bruce and Selina talked, during which she revealed that she had deduced he was Batman. After talking about his motives for crime fighting, Selina tried to get him to hand over the drive, which he refused. Desperate to no suffer repercussions, she reluctantly gave Bruce the address that she was meant to meet her employers at. When Harvey returned, Bruce gave an excuse to leave and left to investigate the address; a warehouse in the Gotham docks.

Bruce changed into his Batman suit and arrived at the address, which leads him to a warehouse. He found that there had been a shootout between the GCPD and a group of mercenaries. Using clues that he found, he deduced that they had been trying to steal containers containing psychogenic chemicals and had accidentally alerted the GCPD. He also deduced that a sniper had shot one of the barrels, causing it to explode, killing a cop and sending another into a fit of rage when exposed to the contents. That same cop was put down by the sniper, who had been using incendiary rounds. Using the possible locations and his skimmers, Batman located the sniper and interrogated him.

The sniper insisted that he worked for Falcone and that they had been sent to steal the chemicals for him, claiming that it was just some explosive that Falcone would use. When done interrogating, Batman left the sniper behind to be picked up by the GCPD, though has the option to break his arm in the process. Before he could leave, Batman heard Gordon and Sgt. Renee Montoya arrive on the scene. Here, Batman has the option to either stay behind to pass on information to them or leave quietly. Regardless, they learn that he was present.

Bruce arrived back at the Batcave shortly afterward, where he was scolded by Alfred for his use or threat of violence. Alfred also voiced his opinion that he should also show the "true nature of a Wayne", especially during the current scandal, even commenting that Bruce's fate would likely end the same way as his parents should he continue his vigilante activities. Whilst Bruce told Alfred how the night in Crime Alley had affected him, he was encouraged by Alfred to continue, though asked not to forget the reason why he had started his activities as Batman, producing the tickets from the Monarch Theater. Bruce can either accept the tickets, commenting that he won't forget or tear them up, in an attempt to move on.

Moments later, they heard an alert from the Batcomputer, as it had finished decryption the drive from the Mayor Hill's office. When they looked at the drive, they discovered that it contained a complete manifest of Falcone's criminal empire. With the information they had, Bruce realized that he could take down Falcone's empire and put him away for life. They discussed either giving the information to Gordon to help the GCPD dismantle the Falcone empire or giving it to Vicki so that the information was public.

If Bruce chooses Vicki, he will arrange to meet her somewhere outside the city. She will thank him for it, considering it would take down Falcone and improve her career. However, she does show some concern for her own safety. Vicki also asks whether exposing Falcone will help the city, with Bruce either suggesting Batman (a symbol), Gordon (fixing the police force) or Dent (stamping crime out of City Hall). Vicki then departs, releasing the evidence to all media outlets.

If Bruce decides to give the information to Gordon, he arranges to meet him in one of the city's public buildings. Gordon will thank Bruce for giving the information but refuses to ask where he got it from. However, he states that it will not affect the investigation into the Wayne family and their ties to Falcone. He then leaves to return home, having returned from the crime scene at the Docks.

Bruce returned to his car, though is alerted by Alfred that the Bat-Drones had located Falcone at the Skyline Club, a popular hideout for many of the mafia members. Bruce heads there in the Batmobile, which changes from his civilian car disguise, and changes into the Batsuit.

Arriving at the Skyline Club, Batman surveyed the area with a Bat-Drone, looking for possible areas Falcone could be hiding in. Upon locating his office, Batman then decided on courses of action to take down guards in the room and, upon deciding, entered the club, subduing the guards in the chosen methods. He then made his way to Falcone's office, battling another couple of henchmen and confronting Falcone. Forcing the criminal into his office, Batman took down his security with an EMP blast before confronting him in the office. Whilst he demanded answers for what had been going on, Falcone refused and activated a drone mini-gun, which Alfred destroyed with the rockets of the Bat-Drone. Batman then began interrogating Falcone about the chemical stash and the shootout in the warehouse. The crime lord confessed owing possession of the building and chemicals, but denied playing a part in the battle and refused to answer anymore. To get him to speak, Batman has the option to either brutalize or arrest Falcone, a Gotham News helicopter watching the action.

If Batman chooses to brutalize Falcone, he impales the criminal on a iron support which was dislodged in the explosion, demanding more answers. Falcone tells him that the Waynes did have ties to his organization and calls them the "biggest gangsters in Gotham". Batman leaves as the GCPD arrives. This action will make the public see him as a brutal vigilante.

If Batman chooses to arrest Falcone, he binds his wrists and hangs him from a dislodged iron support, demanding more answers. Falcone tells him that the Waynes did have ties to his organization and calls them the "biggest gangsters in Gotham". Batman leaves as the GCPD arrives. This action will make the public see him as a hero.

As Batman returned to the Batcave, he listened to reports from different Gotham news outlets reporting on his attack on the Skyline Club and the scandal. If he chose to give a quote, it is used as part of his defense. Returning to the Batcave, Bruce voiced his frustrations that his parents were linked to Falcone and his organization and demanded that Alfred told him everything, believing him to have known about this.

Children of Arkham

The next morning, Bruce returned to Crime Alley for the first time in years. After being met by Alfred, Bruce asked him about their involvement with Falcone and why Alfred had never told him. Alfred reluctantly revealed that he had known for some time and had not told Bruce so that he could grow up with a future different from his father's. He also admitted to almost left after he became disgusted at Thomas' actions, but that the night he was due to leave, his parents were murdered by Joe Chill. Alfred asked Bruce for forgiveness, to which he can either do so, refuse to or ask for more time.

Suspecting that their murder was linked to their connections, Bruce tried to recall the night with Alfred's guidance. However, he found that he could only remember up to the first gunshot Chill had fired. At Alfred's behest, Bruce began to recall more details, including his father demanding that Chill told Falcone was making a mistake. With this epiphany, Bruce decided to visit the crime lord in the GCPD, to get more answers about his parent's involvement in his organization and the possible link to him in their murder.

With Harvey's help, Bruce managed to arrange to visit Falcone in the GCPD, the two pulling as many strings as they had in the department to do so. They were met by Gordon, who showed them through the Department, which gained the attention of several people already at the department. Bruce also met Renee Montoya, who showed him her support, despite the allegations against his family. Arriving at the infirmary, Bruce was left to talk to Falcone alone. Upon entering, he found Falcone was in medical care, due to his treatment during the battle.

As they talked, Bruce learned more about his father's operations with Falcone and how the crime-lord considered him 'family'. With his pain getting worse, Falcone asked Bruce to reduce it by giving him morphine, though he has the option to only increase it. When he asked Falcone about his involvement in his parent's murder, Bruce learned that he was not involved, but was unable to find out before Falcone was shot dead by Renee Montoya. Before she could attack any of the approaching officers, Bruce disarmed and knocked her unconscious, noticing the blue veins on her cheek.

With Gordon, Bruce escorted Montoya to one of the interrogation rooms. Harvey arrived and the three discussed ways to handle the controversy from these events. Whilst Dent and Gordon left to handle the mob boss' lawyers, Bruce investigated Montoya himself, identifying evidence that she had been drugged. When Montoya awoke, he began interrogating her, asking her to recount her experience during the drugging. When she began recounting that someone had told her to kill Falcone and mentioned a "revolution", Bruce realized that Oswald had been involved. When Gordon and Harvey returned from the conference, Bruce left to return to the Batcave and locate Oswald, briefly bumping into Vicki Vale as he left.

Upon arrival, both Bruce and Alfred discussed Falcone's death and how it would affect Gotham. He then analyzed the chemical he had collected from Montoya and compared it to the one found at the Docks, finding that it had been refined into something more dangerous. Bruce then used the Bat-Drones to monitor mobile traffic and triangulating Oswald, successfully pinpointing him to the Skyline Club with a number of his men. Deciding to confront him as Batman, he arrived at the new defunct club and knocked out one of his men, before finding him in Falcone's old office.

Greeted by Oswald and him men, Batman demanded that they let a hostage go and confronted them about their part in Falcone's murder. Oswald confessed to this but tried to justify what he had done, claiming Falcone had deserved it and that Batman had not gone far enough during his confrontation that night. He also revealed their plans to attack Mayor Hill and Bruce Wayne. Called away by a few of his men, he revealed that they were the ones who hired Catwoman. Having deduced her civilian identity as Selina Kyle and located her, Oswald sent his men to attack her and left his right-hand man, Roland Desmond, to prevent Batman from following them. Entering a fight with him, Batman was thrown out of the hole in the wall he created but was able to prevent falling to his death with the Grapple Gun.

Deciding to tip Selina off about the attack, Bruce arranged to meet up with her at the Stacked Deck bar in Otisburg. Briefly entering the conversation with another patron, he was pulled away when Selina arrived. After revealing what he had learned and asking her to help him, a group of Penguin's men arrived at the bar to attack them. Entering a bar fight, the two managed to defeat the group and left the bar before police could arrive. Bruce also took the opportunity to steal the leader's cell phone as they left.

Hiding in an alleyway, they managed to avoid the police, sharing a brief moment together as they did so. Bruce can attempt to kiss her, but is turned away to focus on their escape. Leaving some parting words, Selina left to escape via the rooftops whilst Bruce linked the phone to the Batcomputer for analysis. As Alfred analyzed it, he found messages from Hamilton Hill to Penguin. Deducing that the mayor had been working with Cobblepot, Bruce decided to pay him a visit, either as himself or as Batman.

If Bruce decides to visit Hill as himself, he meets him later that evening, charming his secretary to let him in. Showing surprise that Bruce has decided to visit him, Hill is presented with an audio clip of him confessing his hand over of evidence of Bruce's family's corruption. Hill confesses that he has been working for Penguin, but claims that it was through blackmail, as Penguin threatened to attack that night's debate. He also confessed that he, Falcone and Thomas Wayne were indeed partners and had worked together to control organized crime. He also offers to tell Bruce a "family secret", if he cuts funding for Dent's campaign. If Bruce agrees to, Hill reveals that the group also committed various civilians to Arkham Asylum whenever they refused deals or got in their way. He also reveals that it was through these means that they got the land to Wayne Tower, which formally belonged to the Cobblepot family. He reveals that they had sent Oswald's mother to the Asylum and that is why he wants revenge. Hill then gives Bruce some cufflinks that formally belonged to his father. However, if Bruce disagrees, Hill threatens him to keep silent and not to reveal anything that he had previously said. He then orders security to take Bruce away.

If Bruce decides to go as Batman, he confronts the mayor in his office and shutting down power to the room. Playing an audio clip of Hill talking with Penguin's men, the mayor tries to put blame onto the Wayne family and call security. Putting further pressure on Hill to answer, Batman learns that they were indeed partners and would use Arkham Asylum to help their operations. Hill also lets slip that Penguin's desires to take revenge for his family, but security guards arrive before he can say anything else. Batman leaves as they open fire at him. Performing this action will damage Batman's reputation, even if he chose to arrest Falcone rather than brutalize him.

Aware that Penguin intended to attack Hill and the debate anyway, Bruce prepared himself to head to the event as Batman. Looking into the phone, he found plans for the Monarch theater, the venue for the debate. Setting up a feed of the security cameras, he was comforted by Alfred about his knowledge of his father's activities. Whilst he viewed the cameras, Bruce noticed that the images were not changing and that the timers were looped. Realizing Penguin that the feed had been hacked, he quickly headed off to the debate and warn Harvey.

Calling Harvey from the Batmobile, Bruce tried to warn him about the danger he is in, only to be told that he is fine, being held in a back room whilst they prepare. However, Harvey had some bad news for him. On advice from his advisors, he was going to distance himself from the Wayne family in the hopes that it would help the campaign. However, without Bruce's funding, it would be impossible to continue it. Harvey asks Bruce to continue to fund him, even if he is forced to bash him publicly. Bruce can then make the choice to either continue funding Harvey or to stop it completely. Regardless of the choice, Harvey hung up for final preparations.

Meeting Gordon on a rooftop overlooking the theatre, Batman checked the status of the task force. If he has shown restraint in using violence, Gordon will either praise him for what he is doing and show his support. However, if he has been willing to use violent methods in his confrontations of Falcone and Hill, he will ask Batman not to use these methods whilst fighting crime. Telling Gordon that security had been compromised, they are greeted Catwoman. After getting Gordon to "trust" her, the two discussed the incident at the bar, but are called away when the lieutenant couldn't contact his men. With this, they decided to enter the building and investigate.

After finding and subduing two of Penguin's mercenaries, they found the bodies of the task force and witnessed Penguin take control of the debate. After defeating another group and freeing some hostages, they witnessed Lady Arkham's first public appearance. Entering to the main auditorium, they moved across the rafters until they were able to fully view the stage. However, before they could act, Penguin's men showed footage of Thomas Wayne and Hamilton Hill committing Esther Cobblepot to Arkham Asylum illegally.

As the GCPD attempted to raid the auditorium, Batman took the opportunity to confront Penguin. As he appeared, Vicki Vale, who he had been holding hostage, attacked the criminal and attempted to flee. Batman shielded her from gunfire attacked the criminal. Telling her to run, he was forced to fight Blockbuster. Though Batman was able to get the upper hand, he was distracted when Hill admitted to ordering Joe Chill to the Waynes and restrained by Desmond. After Penguin murdered Hill, Batman was able to defeat the henchman by beating him unconscious with a Bat-Stunner and confronted Cobblepot, who now held Dent hostage. Despite his orders to stand down, the criminal shot at them, hitting and injuring Catwoman. With mercenaries surrounding her and Penguin attacking Dent with a hot spotlight, Batman is forced to choose between who he should save.

If Batman chooses to save Harvey, he grabs the light and tackles Penguin to the ground. After making sure Harvey is fine, Batman goes to help Catwoman, who has been further injured by the mercenaries. Though he is able to knock them out, Catwoman flees as GCPD open fire at them. Turning back to find Penguin, he finds the criminal has escaped. Later, Bruce visits Harvey in the hospital and watches a report announcing that the Children of Arkham, the group Penguin led, had released a list of people committed to Arkham unlawfully by his father, further damaging his family's reputation. Met by Gordon, he assures him that Harvey will be fine, but Bruce suspects that he will have some mental scars, as both he and Hill were injected with the same chemical used on Montoya.

If Batman chooses to save Catwoman, he knocks the mercenaries out with Batarangs and checks on her. With Penguin disfiguring Harvey, he knocks the spotlight out of his hands but is forced to stop when the GCPD open fire at him. As Gordon orders his men to get paramedics to take Dent away, Batman finds that Penguin has escaped, leaving only his mask. Later, in the Batcave, Bruce listens to a report on the radio stating that the Children of Arkham, the group Penguin led, have released a list of individuals committed to Arkham unlawfully by his father. Bruce also checks on Harvey via surveillance monitor, though worries that he will no longer be the same. He then checks on Selina, having brought her to the manor to hide from Penguin and recuperate.

New World Order

The week following the attack, Bruce visited Harvey in Gotham General to congratulate him for winning the position as mayor, by default. If Batman chose to save Selina, she will also come along but leaves, feeling partially responsible for his disfigurement. As they talked, Harvey expressed his regret in not being able to do anything and be helpless in Penguin's hands. He also apologized to Bruce for distancing himself away from him, believing that doing so may have had a knock on effect to his friend. After noticing a light with a Bat shadow over GCPD, Bruce left to check it out, despite Harvey's pleas to stay.

Arriving as Batman, he discovered Gordon was waiting for him on the rooftops, having used the light as a way of contacting him. Having managed to call a truce between the vigilante and other officers in the GCPD, Gordon told him that Montoya, who had been forced into taking leave after her involvement in Falcone's murder, had gone missing and was worried that she would be in danger. He asked him to look for her and find out what she was doing. They also heard a report from another officer that Dent had left the hospital to address the city as mayor.

Contacting Alfred, Batman was passed through to Lucius Fox, who had provided him with an improved set of drones, following the previous' destruction at Blockbuster's hands. Locating Dent and Montoya, he discovered that the two were under attack by the Children of Arkham; Dent having been followed and going to be kidnapped by the group, whilst Montoya was trying to stop the transportation of the chemicals used in the debate. With this information, Batman must choose who to save and who to let Gordon and who the GCPD must help.

If Batman chooses to save Dent, he leaves for central Gotham, whilst the GCPD assist Montoya. Rushing over in the Batmobile, he attacks the mercenaries and tries to interrogate the remaining member, who refuses to reveal anything. Depending on whether he chose to save Dent at the debate or not, he will either be reassured by the new mayor, who shows his support for the vigilante or called a common criminal and warned to watch his back. After hearing a Children of Arkham member warn the men at the deal that the GCPD are on their way, Batman heads to Arkham island, where the gunfight was taking place. He discovers that the shootout has already finished, with the deal going successfully and the Children of Arkham taking an officer hostage. After Montoya leaves, hoping to redeem herself again for what she has done, Batman tells Gordon that he believes the GCPD radio system has been compromised. Gordon tries to contact command, only to hear his own voice over a Children of Arkham member's radio. As the lieutenant shuts down his device, Batman tells him to turn off all their equipment whilst he investigates the member's radio. Taking information from the radio, he passes it on to Lucius and arranges to meet him in the morning.

If Batman chooses to help Montoya, he leaves for Arkham Island whilst the GCPD save Dent. Arriving there in the Batmobile, he takes down the members at the deal site and destroys the drug cache. With Montoya safe, she apologizes for her behavior on the night he took down Falcone, now believing herself to have been wrong and responsible for this mess. Batman can accept the apology and reassure her or criticize her for doing so. After hearing a Children of Arkham member warn the man attacking Dent that the GCPD are on their way, Batman goes to the alley where Dent had been forced to pull over. After arriving, he discovers that the attempt was unsuccessful, but that there were more men than were predicted, which had held off the GCPD during their attempt, and Dent had beaten one of his attackers to death. Batman tells Gordon that he believes the GCPD radio system has been compromised. Gordon tries to contact command, only to hear his own voice over a Children of Arkham member's radio. As the lieutenant shuts down his device, Batman tells him to turn off all their equipment whilst he investigates the member's radio. Taking information from the radio, he passes it on to Lucius and arranges to meet him in the morning.

The following morning, Bruce arrived at Wayne Enterprise to meet with Lucius, only to find Regina in his office. She revealed that she and the board have called for an emergency meeting to decide Bruce's fate as the company's CEO and whether they would replace him. She also promised that she will try to support Bruce, as long as he kept in line and helped the company. After she left, Bruce locked the door and, using a hidden elevator in the office, made his way to the R&D department.

Meeting they looked at the method that the Children of Arkham have been using to monitor the GCPD's communications. Having investigated at it the previous night, Lucius revealed that they have been using a back-door that he had installed in the network, which had been used by Batman to listen to the GCPD's coms. Suspecting that someone had learned about it from files confiscated by Hill or there was a mole in Wayne Enterprises, they decided to patch the Batcomputer, as it is connected to the Wayne Enterprises' network. Hiding and observing gadgets Lucius had prepared for him, Bruce then returned to his office in preparation for Regina's arrival.

As they talked, Bruce learned that the board had agreed to remove him as CEO until the end of the scandal. It was also revealed that the person they had chosen to replace Bruce is none other than Oswald Cobblepot. Depending on the dialogue chosen, Bruce can either stand by the board's decision, vaguely hint to Cobblepot's true allegiance or outright try to tell Regina, the latter of which will be ignored. As he prepared to leave, Oswald offered to let him take a graduation present given to him by Alfred, only to drop it on the floor to agitate him. Bruce has the choice of acting civil or lash out, but will leave the building regardless of what he chooses to do.

Meeting Lucius outside, the two discussed how this would only damage Wayne Enterprises' reputation further. Lucius also pondered whether to stay at Wayne Enterprises, to keep an eye on Oswald and the company, or work for Bruce and continue to work on new gadgets and tech for Batman. Whichever Bruce decides is best, Lucius promised to continue to help him as Batman.

Later, Bruce returned to the Batcave, watching a news report announce his "resignation" from the company. Comforted by Alfred, they decided to investigate the monitoring capabilities of the Children of Arkham, using the patch provided by Lucius to do so. They also discovered that they had been able to cover Oswald's past as the Penguin up and investigate Arkham's systems to find evidence of Wayne's crimes. Upon discovering that City Hall can be monitored by the Children of Arkham, Bruce left to warn Harvey.

After being let in by Harvey's new assistant, Bruce found him either on the phone to someone or fiddling with his mask. Telling him the bad news, Bruce listened to Harvey's believes that the GCPD were ineffective and that he needed to use more drastic measures to defeat the Children of Arkham. When Harvey began talking to himself in the third person, Bruce interrupted him and, after he returned to his senses, was asked to keep it quiet. When Harvey left for a photo-shoot, Bruce noticed an article in the Gotham Gazette interviewing the Children of Arkham's leader, conducted by Vicki. Deciding to get in contact with her, he and Alfred decided that it would be best to talk to her as Batman, either because of his refusal to speak to her in the GCPD or the fact that he leaked Montoya's murder to her may raise suspicions with the GCPD. Contacting her using a scrabbled line, they arranged to meet up in Cobblepot Park that evening.

Meeting at the scheduled time, Vicki tried to conduct an interview, which Batman can either go along with or refuse to comment. Instead, Batman tried to learn how she had gotten an interview with the group's leader and where they had met her. Vicki initially refused, trying to get the vigilante's opinion on the Children of Arkham and learn whether he was planning to make a move on them. She also asked why Batman had not gone after Bruce Wayne, though had deduced that there was a personal connection between the two. Eventually, she relented and gave him the address of one of the Children of Arkham's bases, at the Skyrail Depot.

Heading there immediately, Batman found a supply of the Arkham Drug and the body of either a Children of Arkham member or the kidnapped cop, depending on who he chose to save at the beginning of the episode. Using evidence scattered around the depot, he deduced that the Children of Arkham had improved their drug so that it would affect its victims when exposed to their flesh and were planning to disperse it at Mercy Street, one of Gotham's busiest areas, via a modified train. After being alerted about an oncoming train to the depot by Alfred, Batman hid in the rafters.

Discovering not only had a number of members of the group but also Lady Arkham herself, Batman also saw that Catwoman had been helping them to retrieve more chemical components to make more of the revised formula. After Arkham took Catwoman hostage and revealed her knowledge of his presence, Batman revealed himself, either surrendering, trying to call her bluff or successfully free Selina from her grasp. With the train almost ready to leave, he fought the group members and tried to sabotage the equipment, only to be stopped by Lady Arkham.

After taking a number of critical hits and being severely injured, Batman resorted to trying to destroy the train, hoping to stop the method of dispersion. Though in combat with Lady Arkham, he, with help from Catwoman, managed to place sticky bombs on the supports and get to a safe place. As the train left to deploy the chemical, Batman detonated them, derailing the train and foiling the plot. Lady Arkham, in retribution, electrocuted the walkway he was standing on with a loose cable, causing him fall to the floor. Saved by Catwoman, the two fled as the Children of Arkham either escaped or searched for them.

Taken to Selina's apartment, she tended to Bruce's injuries and offered him to rest there for the night whilst he recovered. After being acquainted with her cat, the two shared a drink whilst they discussed how it felt and their feelings of what they did. Bruce can even try to reassure Selina, despite her self-loathing and negative comments. Deciding to try and seduce him, Selina makes a number of attempts to do so, the success of which depends on the choice made.

If Bruce decides to romance Selina, the two sleep together and share the bed for the night. The following morning, he can either try to wake her up or leave quietly. If the former is chosen, she will ask him to make breakfast for the two whilst she properly wakes up.

If Bruce resists Selina's attempts to seduce him, they instead remain on good terms and is allowed to stay for the night. After she retrieves a blanket and pillow, Selina offers him another drink and briefly converse. Bruce sleeps on her couch for the night, waking up sometime in the morning.

After hearing the faint beeps of his communicator, Bruce answered to let Alfred know he is alright. At his butler's suggestion, he can look around Selina's apartment to learn more about her. Bruce can also retrieve the Grappling Gun she stole from him and one of her "catclaws". After looking around her fridge for breakfast, he and Selina, who had just managed to wake up, heard a knock at the door. Hiding with his equipment, the person was revealed to be Harvey, who wanted to spend some time with Selina. Either intentionally or through Selina's cat, Bruce's presence in the apartment was revealed.

Believing that Selina and Bruce are having an affair, Harvey has a mental breakdown and his split personality took control, compelling him to attack them for their apparent betrayal. When he decided to attack Selina, Bruce intervened, causing Harvey to refuse to do so. Deciding to either take him down or have him vent his anger, Bruce was able to calm him down but caused some damage to the apartment in the process. With Harvey returning to his senses, the new mayor left, despite Bruce's efforts to help him. With Selina deciding to leave, Bruce either suggested to leave Gotham or stay with him at his manor. Regardless of which, he received a text from Regina telling him to come to the press conference announcing his resignation. Selina suggested to either try and reveal the truth, something which he can agree with or refuse to do so.

Going up to the venue, Bruce met with Regina and Oswald, the former telling him what to do and offering her help if he did this for her. As she set off the conference, Oswald conversed with Bruce, saying his plans for the company and how Bruce would "finally be where [his family deserved to]". Oswald also offered to tell Bruce why Hill had arranged for his parents' murder, something Bruce can either demand to listen to or refuse to hear. As he was called upon the stage, Bruce can either follow the teleprompter or refuse to, trying to reveal Oswald's alliance or how this is actually a publicity stunt by Wayne Enterprises.

After finishing, either by following the prompter and calling Oswald up or being taken down by security for "causing disruption", Bruce took a place in the crowd and was met by Vicki. After claiming he had dropped his pen, Vicki injected Bruce with the Arkham drug and revealed herself to be Lady Arkham. Using its influence, she coerced him into attacking Oswald, something Bruce failed to resist, leading him to brutally beating Oswald before the audience.

Guardian of Gotham

Following his attack on Oswald, Bruce was committed to Arkham Asylum by Harvey for his apparent infidelity with Selina. Upon first arriving, Bruce was unable to recall anything, as he was still under the effects of the Arkham drug. However, when he did regain consciousness/control, he found himself in a dilapidated cell. Woken up by an orderly, Bruce found himself still suffering from the effects of the drug, causing several brief moments of anger. After putting on some overalls, the orderly opened the door.

After learning what he had done, the orderly let two inmates into the cell, handing one a taser in exchange for some money. They claimed to have been committed by Thomas Wayne and attacked Bruce, hoping to take their revenge. Though he put up a good fight, Bruce was overwhelmed by the inmates but was saved by the timely intervention of another inmate. When staff arrived, the inmate claimed that Bruce had attacked the other two, something which he can support or deny. The doctor that had arrived, Joan Leland, offered to move Bruce to another cell and took him and the inmate, whom they called "John Doe", to the recreation room.

During his tour, Bruce saw how badly Arkham Asylum had suffered due to his father's actions, including the state of some of the inmates. He also began to see John's true nature when he viciously banged on the cell door of one of the inmates. Upon arriving at the recreation room, Leland left them whilst Bruce got settled there. When John left to get the remote, he gave Bruce a key. Bruce can explore the rec room and interact with a number of inmates, including Victor Zsasz and Arnold Wesker. He may also try to use the key on a multitude of different locks, all of which he was unable to open, or hand it over to an orderly.

When John returned, he joined him as he watched Harvey address the city. If Bruce tried the key on a number of times, John will reveal that it was fake, laughing at how Bruce "actually tried it". As they watched the report, Bruce learned that was Harvey who had committed him and taken over through martial law, due to the frequent attacks by the Children of Arkham. Bruce also saw a report about Vicki Vale's apparent kidnapping, where John revealed that he knew she was Lady Arkham. Demanding to know more, John revealed that he had seen something darker within him and was going to help him, believing that he and Vicki were "on a collision course".

John revealed that Vicki was a member of the Arkham family, who had owned and run the Asylum. He also revealed that her parents had been murdered on Thomas Wayne's orders when they objected to and threaten to expose the use of the Asylum. He then offered to help Bruce get released from Arkham, suggesting that he use the phone to call someone to get him out of the asylum. "John" offered to cause a distraction for him to use it, but said that if he did so, he would offer him a favor. Bruce can either accept or decline the offer, but "John" will go through with the plan regardless of which choice he made. Creating a riot by cutting Zsasz's cheek and giving him a knife, John managed to gain the orderly's attention and created an opportunity for Bruce to attempt to use the phone and arrange his release. However, he also had the option of trying to help stop the fighting. Depending on the choices made, whatever happens to Bruce will change depending on the scenario.

If Bruce decides not to go through with John's plan, he attempts to help put a stop to Zsasz's riot. Though he is able to briefly restrain Zsasz, the serial killer is able to escape and attack. Whatever happened following this is unknown, though it can be assumed Bruce was knocked out or able to escape unharmed.

If Bruce decides to go through with the plan and get out of Arkham, he rushes to the phone as Zsasz murders an orderly. After closing the gate behind him, he decided to call either Alfred to get his lawyers to let him out or Gordon to tell him about his drugging at Lady Arkham's hands, offering to testify if he can get him out of the Asylum. After finishing the call, Bruce sees John looking through the gates, telling him to "ask the Vales". Afterward, he is taken away by Dr. Leland and an orderly.

Some time afterward, Bruce was questioned in his cell about the attack, along with who started it. However, the interrogation is interrupted by the arrival Alfred, who has come to pick him up, either through the lawyers have managed to release him or an order to from Gordon. Though Leland protested, Bruce was able to leave the Asylum, briefly seeing "John" on the way out. If Bruce chose to stop the rioting, he will tell him to "ask the Vales". However, if he chose to go through with the plans, "John" will promise to see him on the outside.

Whilst returning to Wayne Manor, Bruce told Alfred about Vicki's true allegiance and what he had learned from her. Alfred informed him of what had happened in Gotham during his incarceration at Arkham and how public opinion on Bruce had lowered significantly. If Bruce suggested Selina left Gotham, he will receive a text message from her to make sure he was fine. Bruce then received a call from Harvey, who threatened him and told him how he had been using the Wayne family's reputation as a symbol of hate. Knowing that it was personal, Bruce hung up when the drug briefly took over when Harvey insulted him, hoping to avoid another outburst.

Arriving at a roadblock set up by Harvey's enforcers, Bruce was approached by one of them, who ordered a search. Either due to Bruce's protests or deciding to hold him up, this was delayed and rounded a group of Gotham's Citizens, who berated and insulted Bruce. If Bruce protests, he will spar with the citizen violently, due to the Arkham Drug taking effect. With the crowd getting violent, the enforcers offered to let him through, but only if he bribed them. Unable to back up, Bruce can either agree to bribe the enforcers, letting him go through without any more trouble, or tell Alfred to drive through the barricade, causing his reputation to fall further.

If Bruce offered to let Selina stay at Wayne Manor, she will contact him shortly this occurs, telling him that she wants to talk to him. Upon arriving, she reveals that she will be leaving the manor, in fear of what Harvey might do to her. Believing what happened to him to be her fault, she tells Bruce that she has "a few things to take care of" before leaving. When Bruce asks more, he suffers a brief fit of anger. When her car arrives to pick her up, Selina leaves, wishing Bruce the best of luck with his battle against Lady Arkham and restoring his reputation.

When Bruce returned to the Batcave, he ignored Alfred's protests to gets some rest and set to cure himself of Lady Arkham's drug. After taking a record of his blood and getting his own from the computer's record, they were able to synthesize a cure. Despite Alfred's hopes to use it to cure others, Bruce pointed out would only work for him, as the drug targeted specific protein within a person's DNA. After administering it, Bruce recovered quickly and set out to track down Vicki and her drug. Deciding to follow "John's" advice, Bruce tracked down the Vales to a residence in Gotham Heights. Deciding to go as Batman, Alfred advised that he take great caution. If Bruce asked Lucius to work for him, he will be given a new device called a Strobe Grenade.

Arriving at the Vale residence, Batman discovered the corpse of Patricia Vale. Realizing that the Vales had been murdered, he set out to analyze the house for evidence and learn Vicki's plans. After finding John Vale's corpse, Batman was able to solve the final piece of the murder and deduced that Vicki was storing her chemical in one of her father's Water and Heading company warehouses. She had also murdered them to keep them quiet but suspected there was something personal about the attack. Upon hearing a noise, he realized someone might still be in the house and, using thermal vision, he found a boy hiding under the stairs.

Talking to the boy, Batman was able to get more evidence proving that Vicki was hiding her chemical in the Vale Water & Heating warehouses. As he helped him out, they were attacked by a drone operated by Penguin. Though Bruce was able to deploy one of his Bat-Stunners, the gadget failed to work, shocking him. However, the boy distracted the drone by hitting it with a piece of furniture, allowing Batman to destroy it. Depending on whether Lucius was asked to work for him or not, he will either use his Grappling Gun or the Strobe Grenade to destroy it. When the boy saw the Vales corpses, Batman can reassure him, promising to stop Vicki and that he is in his favor for saving his life. As Gordon and the GCPD arrived, Batman handed the boy over to them for protection. He told Gordon all he knew about Vicki and her drug, along with what had happened. Retrieving his Bat-Stunner, he decided to return to the Batcave and look into the malfunction. When Commissioner Grogan arrived, Batman left as the investigation was taken out of Gordon's hands.

Returning to the Batcave, he asked Alfred to contact Lucius whilst he investigated. Upon inspection, they discovered that the Stunner had been receiving a low bandwidth message, causing the malfunction. Realizing that Penguin was hacking his tech, Bruce asked Lucius to find how he had gone into his system. At the same time, Bruce learned that Harvey intended to take away Wayne Manor. Deciding to talk to him, he can either go as himself or Batman.

If Bruce decides to talk to Harvey as himself, hoping that he can reach out to him on a personal level, he finds him on the rooftops of City Hall. Regardless of dialogue chosen or whether he was saved, Harvey refuses to negotiate, commenting that he has already made up his mind. Despite Bruce's objections, he learns that Dent now believes himself to be a "strong leader" and watches as he orders his men to destroy the warehouse where the Arkham drug was kept. Scolding Harvey for doing so, Bruce is ordered to be taken to Crime Alley and executed. He can either attack Harvey, threaten him or remain silent as he is knocked out and taken away. As he is taken away, Bruce tries to talk Harvey's enforcers out of obeying his orders, even trying to make them see his friend has gone insane. Depending on dialogue chosen, Bruce might be able to convince one officer, but they are executed by the other for "not having the backbone". Before he/they can shoot him, Gordon arrives and guns the enforcer(s) down. Talking to Bruce about how Harvey has fallen, Gordon worries that they might not be able to save or stop him. With Bruce giving some advice, Gordon decides to act upon it. Though he offers Bruce a lift, he declines, commenting that he has another way.

If Bruce decides to meet Harvey as Batman, hoping that he could get through to him, he finds Dent on the roof, talking to himself. Depending on whether Batman saved him, Dent will either try to negotiate with him (if saved) or refuse to talk to him (if disfigured). Regardless, Harvey refuses to lay off his plans and orders his men to blow up the warehouse where the Arkham drug was kept. When Dent reveals that he had ordered Gordon to be executed for objecting, Batman threatens him to tell him where Gordon is. Dent reveals that he has been taken to Crime Alley, prompting Batman to leave as the enforcers try to shoot him. Arriving at Crime Alley, he saves Gordon from two of Dent's enforcers. Confronting him on how Dent got access to the information he gave him, Gordon reveals that he had threatened the information out of Commissioner Grogan. Deciding that Dent might be too powerful to stop, Batman gives him some advice on what he must do. As he leaves, Gordon comments how he is glad the vigilante is on his side.

Returning to the Batmobile and suiting up (if he went to talk to Dent as Bruce), Lucius told Batman that he had figured out how Penguin was getting into the network. Learning that there is a black box installed on the network at Wayne Enterprises, he was informed by Alfred that Dent and his enforcers had arrived to take Wayne Manor. With the hacks getting worse and Dent's plans in motion, Batman must decide on which plan he must stop.

If Batman decides to stop Penguin and the Children of Arkham from hacking his network, he tells Alfred to barricade himself into the Batcave and heads to Wayne Tower. Arriving at the building, Batman will either have to negotiate Children of Arkham defenses by himself or with assistance from Lucius, depending on whether he was asked to stay at Wayne Enterprises or work for Bruce Wayne. Despite being discovered, he is able to subdue both Children of Arkham members and Penguin's drones, eventually finding the criminal in the CEO's office.

Confronting Penguin in his office, Batman listens as the criminal mocks him and monologues on their plans for the city, though can use this as a distraction to figure out how to defeat Penguin and his men. If this option is chosen, this is unsuccessful, due to the hack. When Penguin realizes what is going on, he nullifies the simulations. Deciding to attack, Batman takes out Penguin's men but is thrown into the Elevator to R&D by one of the drones and held there by Penguin as they drop to the department.

Arriving, Penguin reveals the black box and places on a pair of experimental gloves, hoping that they will give him the edge in the fight. Despite his knowledge of combat techniques, Batman is also placed at a disadvantage with his tech unable to work. Despite Penguin's upper hand, Batman is able to remove and disable the gloves, using tools within the department, and break his leg, defeating him. With Penguin refusing to talk, Batman either restrains or knocks him unconscious. He then destroys the Black Box with a hammer, stopping the hack and saving his tech. He then alerts the GCPD, leaving Penguin strung up in a stairwell.

If Batman decides to stop Harvey and his men from taking over Wayne Manor, he returns to Wayne Manor, telling Alfred he will be there shortly. Though he tries to use his drones to monitor and plan out his attack from a distance, the hack causes it to crash. Deciding to confront Dent the "old fashioned way", he subdues one of the Mayor's enforcers and confronts him. If Batman saved Dent, he will try to rationalize his actions and ask Batman to help take down Bruce Wayne. If Dent was disfigured, he will scold the vigilante for protecting Bruce and for not saving him from the Penguin. If he had confronted Dent as Batman, the Mayor shows little surprise. Despite his objections, Dent orders his men to fight the vigilante.

Though Batman is able to take down most of the enforcers, he is forced to hide when Dent begins shooting at him with a machine gun, filled with Explosive Slugs. Forced to ascend to the second floor, Batman tries to use height as an advantage by gliding over the Mayor, only for the latter to get a shot in. With his men holding Batman down, Dent prepares to execute Batman, only for Alfred to shoot him with a rifle. With Dent distracted, Batman is able to summon a cloud of bats, causing Dent's men to let him go. Throwing a Batarang into Dent's rifle chamber, Batman causes the gun to explode and burns the mayor's left arm. He then defeats Dent by tackling him to the floor, with help from his grappling gun.

With Dent and his enforcers defeated, Batman hands them over to Gordon. Though the Lieutenant is happy that the mayor has been removed from power, he is unsure whether to send him either to Blackgate or Arkham Asylum. Whichever Batman suggests, Gordon will leave to do so whilst Batman returns to the Batcave, where learns that Penguin's hack is almost complete. Bruce decides to cut off the Batcomputer completely, deactivating most of his tech and crippling his operations as Batman.

City of Light

Depending on who Batman chose to stop in the previous episode, two possibilities will take place:

If Batman stopped Penguin from hacking his tech, he is called to the GCPD by the "Bat Signal", five days after he stops the Children of Arkham, to save the officers from Dent's enforcers. Battling through the building with Gordon, he is able to stop and defeat Dent's men, using his gadgets and technology. However, after being caught off guard by one of the enforcers, Grogan sacrifices his life to save the vigilante. His killer can be caught by Batman or killed by Gordon, depending on whether he can be stopped by the vigilante in time.

After learning that Dent is holding a number of hostages at Wayne Manor, Bruce decides to confront him, hoping that he could use his civilian identity to his advantage. Returning to Wayne Manor, he is able to approach Harvey, either by trying to remind the mayor of his identity, taking his focus from the hostages or insulting him. Eventually able to get close to him, Bruce is either able to get through to Harvey, who tries to commit suicide or turns his attention to killing Bruce, deciding their fates with a coin toss. Grabbing the coin, Bruce has the option of throwing it away or pocketing it, the former injuring Harvey whilst the latter leaves him indecisive.

As Harvey is taken away by the GCPD, Jack Ryder, whose life he had saved, promises to tell Gotham what he did and restore his name. However, a Children of Arkham member caught by Dent tries to make an attempt on Bruce's life but is shot dead by the officers. As he dies, he promises Bruce that Lady Arkham has not forgotten him and he will suffer retribution for what his father did.

Later, Bruce returns to the Batcave to begin an investigation into Lady Arkham's plans. As he arrives, he is greeted by Alfred, who tells him about the damage caused by Harvey and his enforcers.

If Batman chose to stop Dent from taking over Wayne Manor, he will come to Café Triste to stop a hostage situation perpetrated by the Children of Arkham. With his tech still malfunctioning or not working and the group having access to high tech, due to Penguin's infiltration of Wayne Enterprises, he is placed at a disadvantage. After saving Grogan's life, he is incapacitated by one of the anti-bat weapons and almost killed, only to be saved by the Commissioner. After being able to recover, he tries to save Grogan's life with his grappling gun, but it to malfunctions and Grogan is killed by the attacker. After incapacitating him, he leaves to go to Crime Alley.

After checking in with Alfred, Batman is confronted by one of Penguin's drones. With the criminal mocking him for being unable to save Grogan's life, the drone tries to kill him, only for Batman to destroy it. Using his phone to tap into the Children of Arkham's communications, he learns that Cobblepot and the group are setting up a trap at Cobblepot Park. Knowing he would be too vulnerable in the Batsuit, Batman decides to go as Bruce Wayne, telling Alfred to hand over evidence they have gathered about Oswald's crimes to the GCPD and arrange to meet him there.

After meeting Gordon, Bruce learns how the GCPD are pinned down, due to the number of drone in operation around the park. The two arrange a strategy for him to distract Oswald whilst the Lieutenant slips by and destroys the Black Box, which would deactivate the gadgets and weapons used by the Children of Arkham. Whilst doing so, Bruce remembers a conversation between him and Oswald when they were children. Whilst Bruce distracts Oswald, Gordon tries to slip by him. Depending on dialogue chosen, the plan goes successfully, with Gordon destroying the Black Box, or the Lieutenant is discovered, forcing Bruce to destroy the device by himself. When Oswald makes an attempt on Bruce's life, he throws a falling drone at him, which destroys the statue of Theodore Cobblepot, causing it fall onto and cripple Oswald. With Gordon promising to tell Gotham about what Bruce had done, the two hear Cobblepot's warnings that Lady Arkham will take retribution on them.

Sometime later, Bruce works to repair the Batcomputer and restore his tech. He also prepares to be an investigation into Lady Arkham's plans.

Alfred tried to check on Bruce, worrying about the physiological effects of learning the truth about his father and being forced to confront two of his closest friends in a matter of days. Alfred also admitted to feelings of regret of not stopping Thomas and how Martha Wayne had actually wanted to have done so. Bruce can either reassure Alfred, telling him it's not his fault, express his wishes that he did, remain silent or concentrate on stopping the Children of Arkham. Regardless, they decided to find and stop Lady Arkham's plans.

Using Bruce's restored access to the Wayne Enterprises network, traces left behind of Oswald's meddling with public records and their knowledge of Vicki Vale, they deduce that they are planning to break into a known landmark, using the codes Cobblepot provided to the group. However, with Penguin now incarcerated, they would have to do the job physically, meaning that they would have to go to the landmark themselves. However, before they could continue the investigation, Bruce learned that Selina had broken into Wayne Tech's R&D labs and stolen a prototype gadget for him to use.

Confronting her outside of Gotham, Bruce asked her to give it back. If he stole her catclaw, she will confront him on why he had done so. Regardless of his response, she gives him the gadget back. Selina claims that she had only come to Gotham to break into Wayne Tech's labs and that she had been intending to steal from him at the start. She had also gotten close to Harvey in the hopes that she would be introduced to Bruce. Though she admits that she will be leaving Gotham, she implores Bruce to do the same and do something else with his skills. She admits that their relationship wasn't bad, but that he was nothing to her but a job. Commenting that she is no more than just a thief, Bruce has the option of either agreeing with her or saying the opposite. If the latter is chosen, she will ask why he is not agreeing, for which he can choose either say how she saved his life, fought with him or profess his feelings for her. Depending on what is said, two different situations will play out.

If Bruce says he believes she is more than just a thief and brings up either how it felt good to fight alongside her or she saved his life, Selina comments that she is surprised by this, even though she expected less after she discovering he was Batman.Bruce will have the option of either kissing or hug Selina goodbye, depending on whether he slept with her. As she leaves, the two share some parting words as she rides leaves Gotham for good.

If Bruce agrees that she is just a thief or, if he chose to regard her as more than one, that he loves her, she comments that he is like "everyone else" and leaves shortly afterward, angry at Bruce. Though Bruce may leave some departing words, Selina will not respond back.

With the gadget retrieved, Bruce let Lucius know what has happened, only to receive a call from Alfred. Responding, he heard that Lady Arkham was at the manor, but was cut off before he could learn any more. Rushing home, he found the parlor in a state of disrepair and evidence of a scuffle. After putting together a recollection of what had happened, Bruce found a photo of him and Alfred on the mantelpiece. Knowing that it was out of place, he realized that Lady Arkham had wanted him to find it and found an IP address and password for it.

Using them, he found a recording from the Children of Arkham, threatening to kill Alfred unless he surrendered himself. Whilst watching it with Lucius, Bruce saw that Alfred kept on readjusting his glasses during the filming. Realizing that he was trying to make reflections for him to recreate the room he was held in, they used the Batcomputer to recreate the room and gather clue to where the Children of Arkham had taken Alfred. After gathering enough, they learned that he had been taken to the Vale residence, where Vicki had murdered her parents. After receiving a Batsuit to wear (either a prototype or an armored version, depending on the order Harvey and Oswald were defeated), Batman set out to investigate the Vale residence.

Upon arrival, Batman went to the basement, where the video had been made, only to find that Lady Arkham and Alfred had left. Using evidence in the room, he found a false wall and removed it, finding a hidden room with a hole in the middle. Journeying down, he found a makeshift torture chamber. Realizing that the Vales had abused Vicki whilst she was in their care, he deduced why she had been full of rage and what had driven her to murder them. Bruce also discovered that Alfred had also been put through the same abuse, but had also left a message in chalk the same color as his tech. From it, he learned that Vicki planned to take over Arkham Asylum and release its inmates. With no time to waste, he headed there immediately and told Lucius to inform the GCPD of what they had discovered.

Upon arrival at Arkham, Batman found that the Children of Arkham had taken over the Asylum and were preparing to release the inmates. Locating Lady Arkham in the recreation room, he tried to convince her to step down and release Alfred. She refused and ordered her men to set the inmates free, offering them freedom if they killed the vigilante. Using either object in the environment or his gadgets, Batman incapacitated as many inmates and he could whilst chasing Vicki through the asylum. Eventually finding her in the food hall, he was able to save the staff members and briefly incapacitate Vale, breaking her mask in the process. Due to the intervention of Zsasz, she escaped but Batman was able to knock him out.

Whilst the GCPD rounded up the released inmates, Batman confronted Vale in one of the cells. When he asked to be taken to Alfred, she blasted the floor below him, taking him to the catacombs beneath Arkham. Vicki tried to justify her actions as Batman chased her, claiming she had been helping Gotham, but Batman, regardless of his opinion, chose only to continue. As he avoided traps set up by the Children of Arkham, he finally found Alfred in an old underground chamber. As he tried to free him, Vicki intervened and forced him back. Realizing there was a close connection between the two, she threatened to kill Alfred if Batman didn't unmask himself. Depending on the decision made, two possibilities will happen.

If Batman refuses to unmask himself, he throws a Batarang at Alfred's restraints. Now freed, he attacks Vicki but loses his eye when it is blasted out with her concussion staff. With Alfred out of the way, Batman and Vicki fight, causing severe damage to the chamber and causing it to collapse. Batman eventually defeats her and rushes to help Alfred escape. Although he sees Vicki escaping and tries to capture her, a falling pillar prevents him from doing so. After watching her apparent death, Batman and Alfred escape as the chamber collapses behind them. A week later, the two celebrate stopping Lady Arkham and the Children of Arkham whilst recovering from their injuries. Alfred either gives Bruce a postcard that has come through that morning, from Selina or enquires about the contact he has had with her, with the latter doubting he would ever see her again. Alfred thanks Bruce for saving his life and stopping Lady Arkham from killing him. However, he finds it hard to get used to using only one eye, causing him to worry that he may not be able to continue his services to Bruce. However, Bruce promises to find a way of helping him.

If Batman decides to unmask himself, he does so, revealing his identity to Vicki. Unable to accept Bruce as a hero, she fires her staff at him, damaging his ear, and engages him in a fight. The two's fight causes severe damage to the chamber, causing it to collapse. Bruce eventually defeats her and tries to escape with Alfred. As they do, he sees Vicki try to escape and tries to capture her, only for falling rubble to block the way. After watching her apparent death, Bruce and Alfred escape as the chamber collapses behind them. A week later, the two celebrate stopping Lady Arkham and the Children of Arkham whilst recovering from their injuries. Alfred either gives Bruce a postcard that has come through that morning, from Selina or enquires about the contact he has had with her, with the latter doubting he will ever see her again. Bruce is also trying to get used to missing a chunk of his ear, though reassures Alfred that it adds "character."

Whilst watching the report, Alfred assured Bruce that they will get through the situation and be able to recover from the events that have unfolded. Sharing a toast to either friends, peace or remaining silent, they saw a report about Gordon's appointment to Commissioner and how he has asked the powerful in Gotham to aside him, in the hopes that they could rebuild the city. Suggesting to show his support for Gordon, Alfred advised Bruce that this could help rebuild his reputation. However, he also stated that Batman has as much power as Bruce Wayne, and going as the vigilante might show support from the incorruptible symbol of the city.

If Bruce decides to go as himself, he asks Alfred to inform Gordon that he will be standing at the event to support him. Before the speech, the two meet, with Bruce trying to reassure Gordon's doubts as Commissioner. If he unmasked himself to Lady Arkham, Gordon will notice the missing chunk of ear, which Bruce brushes off as having cut himself shaving. Gordon offers support following Harvey's fall from grace and tells him how his influence is more powerful, following his assistance in stopping either Dent or Cobblepot. He also mentions on how he wishes Batman was here to see this. During the speech, Gordon complements how citizens have come out to help the city and tell the public about how Bruce is one of such and offers the billionaire to come out. As Wayne delivers his speech, he apologizes for his family's actions and announces his plans to put his wealth into helping the city recover. After announcing plans to either help fund the GCPD or to improve Arkham Asylum, an assassin tries to attack the event by driving a van into the crowds and at Bruce. Depending on the player's actions, Bruce will either dodge the attack and knock out the assailant, or be save by Gordon and Montoya. As the event descends into panic, Bruce stares, wondering who could have organized such an attack.

If Bruce chooses to go as Batman, he will meet Gordon in an alley as he prepares for the speech. Despite reservations he has about his new role as Commissioner, Batman encourages him by saying that he will do well. The vigilante tells him that he will support him, help both the GCPD and Gotham anyway he can. He can also give Gordon a message to pass on to the city. He then leaves just as Gordon tries to ask him a question. Following this, Batman watches over the speech Gordon delivers, with him being said to be one of the many citizens to stand out for the city. However, an assassin tries to kill Gordon in the midst of his speech, by driving a van at him, but Batman steps in and saves him. Depending on the player's actions, he will either be quick enough to knock the assassin or be unable to react in time, but is saved by Montoya. As the event descends into panic, Batman around, wondering who could have organized such an attack.

Sins of the Father

In the weeks following the Children of Arkham's defeat, Batman began dealing with criminals trying to take over Falcone's turf. After helping the GCPD diffuse a battle between Maroni and Zucco's men, Bruce attended a fundraiser where he was confronted by Cecil Horton, a lawyer representing victims of his father. She revealed that the families of Thomas' victims were planning to sue him and Wayne Enterprises, handing him a notice of intent.

Discussing the claims with the board, Bruce decided to investigate the claims personally. Calling a meeting between former staff at Arkham Asylum, he learnt about his father's activities within the Asylum. Midway through the meeting, one of the former workers was shot, causing Bruce to call security and lead the others to safety. Slipping away and suiting up as Batman, he found a lone sniper had fired the shots, dubbing him as "Deadshot". Making his way to the site, Batman found that the gunman had fled and left a sniper rifle behind, prompting Batman to viciously destroy it in rage.

Sometime later, Bruce and Regina Zellerbach arrived at the GCPD to consult with Commissioner Gordon on information regarding the aforementioned sniper. Gordon reveals that the sniper's gun was German, its serial number leading to a shipment stolen from the German military six years ago. Bruce mentions that the first worker the sniper killed was Edward Paskewicz, former head of security at Arkham Asylum, but then the sniper kept trying for the other assembled Arkham workers. Bruce subsequently begins his own investigations as Batman, incapacitating an arms dealer and inquiring on the shooter's identity, but to no avail, although the latter notably mentions a new arms dealer in Gotham, called Mori.

Batman then retreats to the Batcave, trying to research on the shooter's identity. After Alfred voices his suspicions that one of the plantiffs might have a revenge motive against the former Arkham employees, Bruce reveals he had discreetly checked the plantiffs, with most being elderly and devoid of the financial means to hire the professional hitman. When Alfred expresses he was under the impression that the people Thomas Wayne comitted to Arkham were wealthy, Bruce explains that after his father institutionalized the breadwinners and destroyed their families' reputations, he'd then make it his mission to crush their businnesses, which he'd acquire for pennies on the dollar. Upon actually digesting the full extent of his father's atrocities, Bruce incredulously compares the traits they both shared, both brutally crushing their enemies and throwing them into Arkham Asylum, even going as far as to claim that "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". Alfred, however, tactfully reminds Bruce that, unlike his father, the former selflessly protects the innocent instead of ruthlessly targeting them, and the Gothamites don't care about Batman's motives but rather his results, renewing Bruce's hope in himself and his mission.

Later that evening, Batman scouts the residences of the former Arkham employees, reasoning that the shooter would strike again. Alerted to a break-in into the residence of a former Arkham nurse, orchestrated by professional assassin Black Spider, Batman swiftly apprehends the culprit, immediately engaging him in a ferocious hand to hand combat on a rooftop. As they fight, Batman inquires about Black Spider's client, to which the latter replies that he doesn't ask for clients' names as part of his contract. Black Spider then attempts to end the prolonged fight, firing two electrical needles at Batman, although the latter successfully overrides the shock through sheer willpower, profoundly impressing the former. Batman then proceeds to swiftly grab the assassin by his his collar and savagely hurl him onto the rooftop's surface, sending chunks of rock flying, decisively defeating his opponent. As Black Spider reveals that the sniper is his client, who in fact insists on taking the kill shots himself, the latter, coverly hiding from a distance, unexpectedly shoots Batman in the chest.

Approaching Baman's apparent corpse, the sniper advises Black Spider to fire two bullets to the vigilante's head as assurance, although cautioning him whilst doing so, as Batman's armor might be "something special". Batman, alive however, imediately incapacitates Black Spider, and engages the sniper, calling him "Deadshot". As they fight, Batman easily prevails in combat, deducing that the assassin was a better shot than a fighter and seemingly rich due to his advanced equipments. Black Spider then attacks Batman, distracting the vigilante long enough for his accomplice to fire a rocket at their target's residence, instantly killing her much to Batman's dismay, buying the two criminals enough time to quickly escape and bide their time.

Having personally encountered Deadshot, Batman begins a serious investigation, using the leads he'd procured from the earlier fight to try learn more about Deadshot, having deduced that since the former was more concerned with his target than Batman, he would never stop in his mission, indicating a deep grudge against Arkham during Thomas Wayne's time. Batman manages to locate an individual who he thought could be the hitman, although ended up refuting the hunch, as the man was too heavy. Expanding his search parameters, Batman looks into everyone his father committed to Arkham Asylum, which unfortunately leads him into many dead ends. He does however manage to find a promising suspect, the nephew of a schizophrenic woman comitted decades ago. The nephew was apparently in the military before being dishonorably discharged, meaning he's not allowed to own guns, despite possessing a dozen. Batman, however, discovers that the man had actually no concern over his aunt, and was only a hired gun for a crime lord. To this end, Batman effortlessly subdues the man, and interrogates him on his employer, but to no avail.

Batman subsequently uncovers Arkham records that had been expunged, people who were found mentally competent and discharged soon after being committed. Since those records were scrubbed from online databases, Batman could only uncover ones from recent years. To find the ones from his father's time, Batman required hard copies which were on-site at Arkham. Musing at how it was not too long ago that he had to break out of Arkham, he now had to break back in.

After a series of breakouts, Arkham Asylum modernized their security, with even Batman lauding the impulse. After Alfred hacked into their CCTVs, Batman swiftly disables their alarms, successfully infiltrates their invisible laser array and compromises their sophisticated air filtration system with an aesthetic gas, causing all the guards to sleep. Arriving at his destination, Batman retrieves some files but not before he lures out the covertly hidden Black Spider, who was immensely impressed. Wielding his dual pistols, he fires numerous shots at Batman, only to be swiftly disarmed. The two then once again engage in a ferocious fight, until Black Spider gains the upper hand by knocking a cabinet on Batman, seemingly defeating him. As he prepares to kill the vigilante, Black Spider admits that Batman was his most formidable enemy, although disdainfully maligns him for failing to consider the terrain. Batman, unfazed, replies that he did, having successfully positioned Black Spider directly in front of a wall of cabinets, before dropping them onto the assassin, pinning him down in unconsciousness. As the vigilante leaves with the retrieved files, he alerts Gordon to pick up the unconscious assasin.

Back in the Batcave, Bruce reveals to Alfred about his father's simple but effective M.O.; if somebody got in his or his partners' way, he'd first attempt paying them off; if that failed, Falcone would threaten them as a bluff, since murdering prominent citizens would draw unwanted attention; if that also failed, Mayor Hill would've crooked cops arrest them on fabricated charges, where they'd be evaluated by the city's medical consultant, Thomas Wayne, and found to pose a danger to themselves and others as well, leading them to be remanded to Arkham, where Thomas Wayne would actually destroy their minds with powerful psychoactive drugs. Bruce then discolses that there were instances where his father changed his recommendation and released the victim once they gave him or his partners what they wanted, essentially ransoming themselves from madness. Arriving at the conclusion that some individuals Wayne released actually belonged in Arkham, Bruce explains that Deadshot's grudge isn't that Wayne put someone close to him in Arkham, it was that he let them out. Upon uttering these last few words, Bruce holds up the retrieved file, labeled as "Lawton".

Bruce and Alfred then divulge into the family history of the Lawtons, which consisted of parents George and Genevieve Lawton, real-estate tycoons, with older son Eddie and younger son Floyd. Alfred solemnly remarks that he remembers the awful tradegy that occured in the family, recalling that Eddie had died in a terrible accident, which took its toll on his parents, who were apparently exhibiting erratic behaviour as a result of their deppression, eventually leading Genevieve to murder her husband and then herself. Alfred notes the similarities between Floyd and Bruce, both having lost their parents tragically at a young age, prompting Bruce to admit that they both had a lot in common, just as the circumstances of the Waynes' death were covered in lies, same went for the Lawtons. Bruce reveals that a year before Eddie's death, their parents were arrested on suspicion of child abuse, subsequently placed in Arkham for evaluation by Thomas Wayne, who ultimately deemed them model parents doing the best they could with an emotionally disturbed son, who self-harmed and blamed it on them. Wayne then released them and three months later, they sold the building currently known as Wayne Tower to the former for below market value.

Season Two: The Enemy Within

The Enigma

The following year, Bruce started investigating Rumi Mori, a Gotham based arms dealer, at his casino, The Virago. After hacking the criminal's phone, he tried to blend into the casino, briefly conversing with a woman. Upon seeing a man in a green hood threaten Mori, Bruce realized that there was something violent was going to happen. As the man, who Alfred had identified as the Riddler, murdered a security guard and took over the casino with a group of armed men, Bruce slipped away, subduing one of the thugs in the process. He may also tell the woman about gunmen before the attack and get her to flee with him. Upon escaping, she thanks Bruce and promises not to tell anyone about what she had seen. After ensuring the coast was clear, Bruce called Gordon to inform him of the attack and changed into the Batsuit.

Slipping back into the casino, Batman used his Bat-Drones to scout the area out and observe the Riddler and his men. After deciding to use the cashier's booth as an area to hide, he distracted the man near it and subdued him. Whilst hiding in the booth, Batman witnessed the Riddler place Mori into a death trap and ask him to solve a riddle. After giving advice to Gordon on how he should proceed, Batman made his presence known to the Riddler and subdued three more of his men. After defeating the criminal's second in command, he was caught off guard and held at knifepoint. With the Riddler and his men distracted, Batman called Gordon to go ahead with the attack. He then broke free of the Riddler's grasp and fought the criminal.

Though Riddler was skilled in the use of his cane, Batman was able to gain the upper hand in the battle. The criminal tried to escape, using his death chamber to try and kill Mori, but Batman traced the power source and disrupted it before it could kill him. Catching up to Riddler on top of the Virago's statue, the criminal wondered why Batman had spared Mori's life and the two engaged in another fight. Defeating Riddler again, Batman was forced to let him go when he destroyed the statue's support. After saving Gordon and Mori, he witnessed the Agency arrived and helped defeat the last of Riddler's men.

After collecting a puzzle box from the statue's wreckage, Batman was talked to Gordon about Riddler's tactics and was introduced to Amanda Waller, the Director of the Agency. Claiming Gordon and the GCPD were loose cannons, she tried to convince Batman to work with her and the Agency locate the Riddler. Whilst Waller left to get a detail on Mori, she left two of her agents, Iman Avesta and Vernon Blake, to talk with him. Avesta gave him a psychiatric evaluation of the Riddler, though asked about why the criminal had targeted Mori and tried to learn about Batman's fascination with the criminally insane. She would then add his response to a psychiatric report she was writing about the vigilante. After Waller returned, she threatened Batman that he would have to cooperate with her and the Agency, to which he can respond to aggressively, tell her about the Riddler's puzzle box or simply grapple away.

Batman returned to the Batcave to observe the box. After leaving the Batcomputer to scan it, Bruce accessed information about both the Agency and the Riddler, learning about their past exploits. After the computer finished scanning, finding nothing lethal inside, Bruce observed it to find a puzzle, which he solved. With the box now taking the shape of a disc, he found a riddle, which he was able to solve. Realized that the box had become a music disc, Bruce played in a gramophone, hearing a message from the Riddler, and the box revealed a radio-wave emitter. Unable to work out what to do, they contacted Lucius and asked him to help solve it. As Bruce prepares to arrive at Wayne Enterprises, Lucius told him that his daughter, Tiffany, would be working for the company, that being her first day. After packing the Riddler's puzzle into the case, Bruce left for Wayne Enterprises.

Shortly after his arrival, Bruce met with Regina, who briefed him on the company's stock prices and inquired about the item in the case. As he arrived in his office, he discovered Lucius in his chair and showed him the Riddler's puzzle. As they investigated, Tiffany intruded on the conversation, showing a new drone she had created, which she gave to Bruce as a present. Upon seeing the Riddler's puzzle, she offered to help solve it, which he can either accept or decline her help. After she left, Lucius suggested that he brought Tiffany into his operations as Batman, believing that she would be more useful to him than he ever was.

As they left for Lucius' office, Bruce found Avesta and Blake outside, having come to talk to him. Letting Lucius leave to investigate the puzzle, Bruce was interviewed about his knowledge on "John", with Iman drawing attention to his connections to Vicki, Harvey, and Oswald; all of which criminals that had a close connection to him. When she accused him of a criminal, Bruce's response was cut off by the evacuation alarm going off. As Avesta and Blake left, Bruce received a call from Lucius, who revealed that he had figured out Riddler's puzzle. He asked Bruce to get Tiffany out of the building and stated how proud he was that they had helped make a difference to Gotham, which was cut off by an explosion. As Bruce looked out over his office's balcony, he discovered Lucius and his office had been destroyed completely.

Approximately a week later, Bruce attended Lucius' funeral with Alfred. After leaving some departing words, they discussed what he would do with the Riddler after the apprehended him. Bruce also comforted Tiffany, who showed signs of anger and aggression. Believing the puzzle to have been responsible for her father's death, she asked Bruce whether this was true or not. Regardless of his choice, she leaves to consult her family. However, if he tells her the truth, Tiffany promises to find out what they had been involved in.

As Bruce looked at Lucius' coffin, he heard John talking to Tiffany and making some inappropriate jokes. Pulling him aside to talk to him, John gave him a card and revealed that he had been discharged from Arkham by Dr. Leland. As the service began, John revealed that he had come to ask for the favor Bruce had owed him for escaping Arkham, regardless of whether he agreed to or not. He asked Bruce to meet a group of friends he had made within the time he had been out of Arkham, which he referred to as "the Pact". He also told him about the Riddler and how he was an "enemy" of John. When Bruce showed interest, John revealed that the criminal was operating in the East End of Gotham, though this information only came from rumors. As the service finished, John left to find out more information about the Riddler for Bruce. Bruce can install a tracker on John, which he seems not to notice. As he met up with Alfred, they decided to investigate the lead on the Riddler and inform Gordon of this information.

As Batman, he met with Gordon on the roof of the GCPD and conversed with him about the explosion at Wayne Tower and how Waller was affecting the department, along with how it could influence Batman's operations. They also investigated the East End and locations the Riddler may be, finally narrowing it down to a water tower on the end of 44th Street. Batman can ask for Waller to be informed, but she will be unable to attend due to meetings and a number of missing agents. When they arrived in the Riddler's hideout, the door locked behind them and screens directed them further into the lair. Batman found the body of Special Agent Mario Hernandez, who had been forced to take part in a puzzle to escape but failed. Using evidence within the room and Gordon's help, Batman learned what mistakes the agent had made and how he could avoid them. They also investigated Riddler's computer, where they found evidence of his deals with Mori and that Riddler had been in conflict with a criminal known only as "H".

After being able to find the final clues, Batman willingly put himself into the Riddler's puzzle and was able to solve it. After opening a safe, he found a homing missile inside. Scanning it, he discovered that it would be directed at specific radio frequencies, leading him to realize that it had been involved in Lucius' death. The Riddler then contacted him and Gordon, claiming to have been a victim of the Agency before Waller took over as director and that he had plans for them. He also mocked Batman with Lucius' death and told Gordon about his involvement. After they left the lair and told Waller about her agent, the commissioner confronted Batman on what Riddler said and whether he had any involvement, something the vigilante can confess to having some involvement or deny it. He then left to return to the Batcave and investigate further.

With the new details on Lucius' death now known, Bruce deduced that Riddler was planning to use the missiles to attack the Agency, by hacking its agents' phones and making them give off firing signals, drawing the missiles to their locations. He also deduced that he had solved the Riddler's puzzle box, but that the Batcave's scrambler had prevented the signal from getting out. He formulated a plan to draw Riddler's missiles away with Tiffany's drone, by duplicating the signal, and draw them away from Gotham, knowing the Riddler will fire them at the city if his plan didn't go through. Bruce then retrieved a sample of the signal from a recording of Lucius' death, so he could redirect the missiles and neutralize them from the agents' phones.

Deciding to find the Riddler, Alfred suggested that Bruce used Riddler's second in command, Eli Knable, who is currently in Waller's custody, but warned that doing so would endorse the agency and damage his reputation with Gordon. At the same time, Bruce received a text from John that suggested that he used Mori, as he had dealt with the Riddler and would have kept tabs on him, though this would show Bruce working with criminals and draw more attention from the Agency. Depending on the decision made, two possibilities will happen.

If Bruce decides to get Riddler's location from Mori, he leaves for the Virago as himself. After identifying at least three of Waller's agents, he meets with Mori and tries to get the information from him. However, with the arms dealer unwilling to talk with Waller's agents around, Bruce asks Alfred to draw their attention away with a false order to sweep the perimeter. When the agents leave, Mori reveals that he sold Riddler the missiles and a launcher, believing that he had been planning to use it outside of the city. However, he claims to have called off the deal after learning that the criminal asked for one of his biotech companies and learning that he planned to use the missiles within the city. Knowing he is in danger, both from Riddler and Waller, he asks Bruce to pay for a flight to get him out of the city, offering information on the criminal's location in return. Bruce can either do so, leaving peacefully, or force Mori to give the drive, leaving him injured further and holding a vendetta against him. As the agents arrive, Bruce leaves and sends the information to Alfred, who locates the Riddler on a cargo ship called the Lady of Dublin.

If Bruce decides to get Riddler's location from Knable, he leaves for GCPD as Batman. After meeting up with Montoya, who asks that he should do it by the book, he is taken to Eli by Waller, who encourages him to use brutal violence against him. After Waller leaves, Batman tries to get the information from Eli, but he refuses, believing that the Riddler may reattribute it in a dire way. With his fear for the Riddler clear, Batman can either use psychological manipulation, faking a missile launch signal to their location, or brutally beat the information out of Eli. Regardless, he will reveal the Riddler to be on a ship called the Lady of Dublin, which Batman gives to Waller and her agents. If Batman chose not to use violence, Montoya will thank him but warn that Gordon will not be impressed with him for collaborating with Waller. However, if he chose to use violence, she will scold him for doing so, something which Waller defends. Regardless, he will leave to track down Riddler to his ship.

After locating the Lady of Dublin, Batman infiltrated the ship and located Riddler on the deck, along with a number of the missing agents, including Avesta and Blake. After subduing the criminal and his men, he tried to free the hostages but was caught in a trap as he saved Iman. Riddler revealed himself to be conscious, having found a way to neutralize the Bat-Stunner used on him and unveiled the missile launcher. He then asked Batman to answer a number of riddles in order to save the remaining hostages. If he refused to answer even one, an agent would die, but answering them would fire a sonic blast at him and Avesta, which could kill her if used three times. Regardless of how Batman does, he was able to find a way out of the cage and subdued the Riddler. He also used Tiffany's drone to redirect the missiles into the river. Depending on what happened, the following will happen.

If Batman chose not to answer or guessed incorrectly for at least one, either agent's Blake and Patrick will die, leaving Avesta distraught. When he incapacitates the Riddler, the criminal will claim to have won, having forced Batman to kill and break his code.

If Batman chose to answer the riddles correctly to save the hostages, Avesta survives but is rendered deaf after the experience. When he incapacitates Riddler, the criminal congratulates him for defeating him but mocks him for harming Iman to save the others.

Revealing that he had organized the whole plan to draw a group's attention, having been thrown out after he had drawn attention to their schemes, the Riddler was shot with a poisoned dart and died, revealing that the group was actually "the Pact". Before he was killed, he also revealed to Batman that John Doe had been involved with his schemes. As Gordon and the GCPD arrived, Batman retrieved the dart and talked with Gordon about what had happened. Waller was also on the scene, placed the blame of the catastrophe on the GCPD and took over law enforcement in Gotham. Depending on whether Batman got information from Mori or Knable, Gordon will either be demoted, but promises to continue working with Batman, or cuts off ties with the vigilante, having rendered Eli unable to testify with fear or serious concussion.

As they discussed case details, Waller revealed that she had been chasing the Riddler to access the Pact, a group of the world's most notorious criminals. Batman also learned that former Arkham psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Quinzel was a member of the group and been involved with the Riddler before he was thrown out. Waller also revealed that she would like Batman to help investigate the Pact, along with her knowledge of his true identity; something which shocked him upon hearing.

The Pact

Due to his cooperation or out of respect, Waller promised to keep his identity secret, but as long as he helped her and the Agency track down the Pact. She also requested that Bruce used his civilian identity to infiltrate the Pact and learn what they were planning. Just then, a series of explosions went off through the city. As reports came in that the GCPD's arsenal had been hit, Batman left to investigate.

Upon arriving, he noticed that the warehouse had been taken over by men in masks similar to the Riddler's men and they had taken a mechanic hostage. After freeing the man, he confronted the men, only to have a cop's body thrown at him. The man who had done so was their leader, Bane, who challenged Batman to a fight. After being able to match Bane and defeat several of his men at the same time, Batman was quickly bested when the brute injected himself with a chemical element. When the mechanic sacrifices his life to save Batman, he uses the opportunity to try and defeat Bane, only to be defeated and left under a pile of rubble. As he falls unconscious, Batman calls either Gordon or Waller to save him. Depending on who Batman chose to contact, the following scenarios will happen.

If Batman chooses to call Gordon, the GCPD arrives as he regains consciousness. After letting them know his location, they are able to help him dig out of the rubble and tell him the mechanic's fate. When left alone with Gordon, Batman tells him about Bane and what he and his men stole. Batman also learns from Gordon about the attack on the Gotham City Brokerage and the items stolen. If Batman chose to side with Waller, Gordon expresses his sense of betrayal for what he did to Knable, but that he appreciates the vigilante calling him to save his life. Following this, Avesta or Blake (depending on whether Batman cooperated with the Riddler's game) arrives, tells him about Waller's reaction to him calling Gordon and advise working with Waller and the Agency. If Avesta was saved, she will thank Batman for saving her, though shows concern over what happened to Blake. If Blake was saved, he will voice his anger about not being able to save Avesta and blames himself for what happened to her. Batman then leaves, calling Alfred to let him know what has happened.

If Batman chooses to call Waller, the Agency arrives as he regains consciousness. After letting them know his location, they are able to help him left the rubble and get to safety. After learning of the mechanic's fate, Batman tells Waller about Bane and what was stolen. She tells him about the attack on GothCorp and that a number of chemical components have been stolen. As she leaves, either Avesta or Blake (depending on whether Batman cooperated with the Riddler's game) goes over to talk to him. If Avesta was saved, she will thank Batman for saving her, though shows concern over what happened to Blake. If Blake was saved, he will voice his anger about not being able to save Avesta and blames himself for what happened to her. Batman then leaves, calling Alfred to let him know what has happened.

Arriving back at the Batcave, Bruce received a medical check-up from Alfred and patched up his injuries. As he looked over the details from the other two robberies, he decided that it would be best if he followed Waller's advice and infiltrate the Pact as himself, despite the possibility that they would not trust him. Deciding to track John down, he either sends a text arranging to meet up or uses the tracker he had installed on him, finding him at the Stacked Deck. Despite Alfred's pleas to have him take an hour or two to rest, he left immediately, knowing that every second counted.

Arriving at the bar, he discovered John and another patron talking about him and Batman, with the latter ranting about his feelings towards them both. Mid-speech, he noticed Bruce whilst John offered to get him a drink. If Bruce installed the tracker on John, he will reveal his knowledge about it and scold him for doing so. After seeing a report announcing Riddler's death, Bruce asked John if he had any connection to what had happened, which he denied. Understanding that Bruce wanted to join the Pact, John revealed that Riddler was actually a member of the group, but both of them had never been able to see eye to eye about what they needed to do. Promising not to lie to him in the future, John offered a pinky swear, which Bruce can also agree not to hide anything else from him. When John's former patron, Willy, confronted Bruce, believing him to be bothering John, he can deal with him either violently or peacefully. Regardless, the two leave to meet the other members of the Pact. If he chose to save Avesta, he will notice her as he leaves.

After another member contacted John to let him know they were interested, Bruce joined him as he hotwired a car to leave for the next location. Upon hearing the passenger seat behind him open, a gun was pointed at his head by an unknown woman, who demanded to know why she should trust him. Regardless of how Bruce answers, he turned around to discover Harleen Quinzel, dressed as a clown.

As the two discussed his induction into the Pact, Bruce can make a number of claims, including a vendetta against the Agency, wanting to take control of Gotham or wanting to have some fun. Whilst John was away to get Harley a slushy, she also asked him about his relationship with him and, when he returned, left for Wayne Enterprises. When they arrived, Harley told him that for him to be accepted into the Pact, he would need to steal a Phalanx Key for the group to use. Agreeing to collect it, he left to get it for them, asking them to wait in the car.

After signing in at the security desk, Bruce found that Harley and John had followed him and knocked a security guard unconscious. After an encounter with Regina, Bruce took the duo to his and Lucius' secret lab. Whilst investigating, he discovered that the vault was locked and coded only to open to Lucius' thumbprint. However, using his phone and items in the lab, he was able to replicate one and enter, though asked that John and Harley wait in the lab. Whilst searching, he found Tiffany, who had discovered it whilst investigating her father's death and held the key in her hands. Depending on whether Bruce lied to her at the funeral, the following possibilities will happen.

If Bruce lied to Tiffany about his involvement in her father's death, she will scold him for doing so. Having seen what had happened to the guard, she refuses to comply and tries to escape with the Phalanx Key, but is caught by Harley. Whilst trying to negotiate her release, Bruce is forced to distract Harley, either by denying his involvement in the Pact or swearing loyalty to her and the group. Following this, they leave with the key and an EMP generator, which Harley had decided to take whilst they were in the lab.

If Bruce told Tiffany about his involvement in Lucius' death, she will confront him on the lab and vault, as well as bringing John and Harley to Wayne Enterprises. As John enters, Bruce asks Tiffany to give him the key and stay in the vault until they leave. Depending on dialogue chosen, Tiffany will either comply and hand over the key, warning Bruce not to trust the two, or tries to escape with the device, only to be caught by Harley. If the latter plays out, Bruce distracts Harley to let Tiffany escape, either by professing his loyalty to the Pact or by denying that he is not like her. As they leave, Harley asks John to bring an EMP Generator, which she had seen whilst investigating the lab.

Some time afterward, Bruce arrived back at Wayne Manor to talk to Alfred. The butler told him about the arrangements he had set up to shift blame away from Bruce but warned him about some of the events that had taken place, particularly with Regina and Tiffany. In the midst of the discussion, Bruce noticed the Batsignal and left to respond. Depending on who he asked for help, the following will happen.

If he asked Gordon to save him, Batman will find the recently demoted Commissioner on the roof. He is given information on Harleen Quinzel, including her efforts to help her father's philological health and his suicide. Waller arrives and asks Gordon to leave, during which he asks Batman about whether she has any information about him. Batman can reveal her knowledge of his true identity to Gordon, with him berating Waller for trying to take his secrecy away from him.

If he asked Waller to save him, Batman will find both her and Gordon on the roof, arguing about the use of the Batsignal to contact him. Making his presence known, Gordon is dismissed by Waller after an argument. If Batman took his side or stayed neutral during the argument, Gordon will ask the vigilante if she is blackmailing him. He can respond by either confirming her knowledge of his identity, asking Gordon not to get involved or refusing to comment. After Gordon disappears, Waller reveals a counter-agent to Bane's venom, suggesting that the plants it on the criminal.

After briefly talking about what was going to happen and the threat the Pact seemed to be, Batman received a message from John, telling him to go to an alleyway. After final words with Waller, he changed into a civilian getup and was kidnapped by men working for Bane and Quinn.

When Bruce regained consciousness, he found himself in the Pact's hideout and Harley and Bane arguing whether to induct him into the group or kill him. After John "accidentally" activated the EMP generator, Bruce was forced by the final member of the group, Mr. Freeze, to turn it off. After the group left to attend to their own matters, Harley asked him to follow her to her office. Whilst there, she apologized for her actions and asked Bruce for forgiveness. Believing him to be civil enough to work with, she suggested that he persuaded Bane and Fries to let him into the group, giving him some advice on how he could get their approval. If Batman received the information about Quinn's father from Gordon, he can talk to her about it. Though she initially threatens to kill Bruce, Harley admits to being impressed by him finding out about it.

Taking on Harley's advice, Bruce talked to both Bane and Freeze, with further help from John to get their approval. Depending on choices made during their conversations or actions, Bruce can either persuade them to let him into the Pact or is unable to convince them otherwise. If Waller gave him the fake venom, he can plant it on Bane during their conversation. After Quinn informed the group about their target is on the move, the group made a vote whether to inductor kill him. Depending on how well Bruce how many members Bruce was able to convince, the vote ends in a tie, in favor or a landslide for Bruce to join. He then left with them to get their job done.

After arming the EMP generator, Bruce quietly contacted Waller and asked for her help. Upon arriving, he discovered that the target was an Agency convoy and, at Bane's request, activated the generator, disabling the stun pistols on the agents. Leading the group, he and Freeze retrieved the item and loaded it onto an escape vehicle. As the agents tried to fight back, Waller told that she was going to let them take it and encourage him to leave with them. After seeing both Harley and Bane were engaging the Agency, Bruce has the choice to stop either of them.

If Bruce chooses to stop Harley, he joins her in battle and prevents her from killing an agent. After getting to the escape vehicle, they watch as Bane continues to engage the Agency and decide to leave him behind. Upon returning, Harley complements Bruce for "showing her a good time", but Freeze worries that Bane will get revenge for leaving him behind.

If Bruce chooses to stop Bane, he joins him in battle and prevents him from killing a number of agents. After getting to the escape vehicle, they watch as Harley continues to engage the Agency and decide to leave her behind. Upon returning, Bane complements Bruce for fighting alongside him, but John worries about leaving Harley behind.

As they opened the case with the Phalanx Key, Bruce discovered that it contained Riddler's body. He was also further shocked upon seeing Catwoman arrive with a component the Pact required.

Fractured Mask

During the surprise meeting, Bruce and Catwoman were "introduced" by Freeze and were sent to copy Riddler's eyes with a retinal scanner. During the task, the two caught up on what had happened and how they had become involved with the Pact, during which he learned about her association with the deceased criminal. After completing the task, they witnessed the return of Bane or Harley and the latter's takeover of the group. When she announced her suspicions of a mole within the Pact, Harley challenged Bruce's allegiance, only for one of the men to back him up.

As the Pact began preparation for another raid, Harley asked to talk to Bruce and revealed a laptop that the Riddler had left in Harley's possession. Having found it plagued with a form of encryption, she tasked him with investigating the criminal's lair and finding information about the location of an Agency black-site, which was the target of their next operation. Though she told him to bring John along, Harley accepted his request to have Catwoman assist in the investigation.

Upon arriving, Bruce sent the two to investigate the front whilst he received a call from Waller. During the conversation, the director revealed that the EMP had put the Agency at a disadvantage and that she had not been able to communicate with them. Suggesting that he stayed undercover to discover their plans, Bruce signed off to help break into the site. After being discovered by a lone detective, Bruce was forced to either bribe, knock him out or let John deal with him. After the incident, the trio entered and began investigating Riddler's lair.

Whilst there, Bruce discovered another trap, left by the Riddler to hide some of his secrets. With help from John and Catwoman, he was able to solve the puzzle and find a hidden room. Entering with Selina, the two discovered a supercomputer, encrypted with the same type on Harley's laptop. After finding and inserting a decryption drive, they discovered that it was connected to the organization SANCTUS and contained files about Project LOTUS. Failing a retinal scan, Bruce removed the drive before the computer self-destructed.

Realizing that the laptop would have the same information, Bruce was handcuffed to a chair by Catwoman, who tried to escape with the drive. Though he tried to stop her, she was able to escape the room. Bruce broke free of the cuffs and followed, leading to a confrontation in the main room. After Catwoman managed to escape, her comments on stealing the laptop lead John, who had witnessed the fight, to realize that Bruce had told her about it. After fleeing the scene, the two went to Café Trisle to talk about what he had done.

After ordering drinks, including a coffee for himself, Bruce and John talked about his leak of information and how it could affect his relationship with the Pact. Although John was tempted to tell Harley about the information, Bruce was able to talk him out of doing so and asked for his assistance to steal the laptop. Having noticed him and Catwoman flirting during their fight, John asked for advice on how he can receive a similar reaction for Harley, believing Bruce could give him some advice. Depending on what Bruce advises he does, the following will happen.

If Bruce tells John to be himself, he gives advice on how to attract Harley's attention and getting her to know him. Nervous about the actions, he asks Bruce to go through a number of scenarios where he could talk to her. Midway through these, Bruce notices the Bat-Signal and makes an excuse to leave. After John promises to help steal the laptop and to pay for the drinks, he leaves to answer as Batman.

If Bruce tells John to try to manipulate her, he gives some advice on manipulating people and finding out their secrets. Afterward, John asks Bruce to answer a few mock Rorschach tests, hoping to find out more about him. Midway through these, Bruce notices the Bat-Signal and makes an excuse to leave. Depending on dialogue chosen through the tests, John will either promise to think about helping him steal the laptop or decide not to, though promises to pay for the drinks. Bruce then leaves to answer the signal as Batman.

Upon arriving, Batman found Gordon, who asked where he had been during the fight between the GCPD, Agency, and Pact. Having been suspicious of Lucius Fox's death, Gordon had looked into Wayne Enterprises and shared his belief that he had been involved with crime. After Batman denied these aggregations, Gordon brought up how he also believed Bruce Wayne had been involved, due to evidence and testimony from several people. After sharing this, Gordon asked Batman to arrest Wayne and told him about Catwoman's return to Gotham. Leaving to organize a task force to arrest the cat-burglar, Bruce was forced to decide whether to tip her off about the attack or let Gordon and his men arrest her.

Regardless of his choice, he discovered John on the rooftop, making shadow puppets with the still shining Bat-Signal. When he came to investigate, John introduced himself and offered to help retrieve Harley's laptop from her safe and dismantle the Pact. However, he asked for Harley Quinn to be spared, something which the vigilante can agree to. After offering advice to let Bruce help him, Batman left to rejoin the Pact as his alter-ego. During this left, John took a selfie with him, which he can allow him to keep or destroy the phone.

After arriving, Bruce noticed Bane interrogating the mercenary that had stood up to Harley when she had accused him of being the mole. Greeted by Freeze, he was told about the doctor's plans to use an ice grenade to counteract a fire failsafe in the black-site and showed him the test results on some of the Pact's men. Continuing to watch Bane's interrogation of the man, Bruce saw him fatally injure the man and watched as he died. Whilst Harley took control of the mole hunt, having seen Bane's treatment of the men, Bruce was contacted by John, who offered to get the laptop from Harley's safe.

When Harley came to talk to him about what he and John had found in the Riddler's lair, Bruce can either tell her about Project: LOTUS or deny finding anything. After watching John's attempt to offer her help in finding the mole, he talked to her about his influence on John and was warned not to interfere with him. Depending on whether he informed Catwoman about Gordon's planned attack, the following will happen.

If Bruce informed Catwoman about Gordon's assault, he sees John leave the office empty-handed and receives a text from Selina, showing her with the laptop. Deciding to track her down, Bruce informs Alfred about what had happened and calls for a Batsuit at the nearest location. Shortly afterward, he confronts Catwoman on top of Gotham City Hall, where the two first met. After reminiscing about that event, Catwoman offered the laptop, only to pull away and try to escape. However, Batman quickly caught her with his Bat-Anchor and the two engaged in another fight. This finally ended when Batman managed to grab the laptop. Confronting her on why she had stolen the drive, he learns that Catwoman had hoped to get revenge on the Pact for their supposed involvement in Riddler's death. Batman offers a partnership, which Selina reluctantly accepts, giving him the decrypting drive and goggles to bypass the retinal scanner. Depending on the choice made, Batman can either investigate the laptop by himself or invites Catwoman into the Batcave, which she accepts.

If Bruce had not informed Catwoman about Gordon's assault, he sees John leave Harley's office with the laptop. Knowing he will give it to Batman, Bruce calls Alfred to tell him about what had happened and to send a Batsuit. Outside the Stacked Deck bar, Batman meets with John and receives the laptop. At John's request, Batman can teach him how to throw a Batarang and can let him keep one. Afterward, he leaves to return to the Batcave, with John promising to help him in the future. Upon returning to Wayne Manor, he finds an injured Selina Kyle, having managed to escape Gordon's assault. Revealing why she had fled with the decrypting drive, Selina offers Bruce a truce to work with him in stopping the Pact, offering the retinal goggles and drive as an incentive. Depending on the choices made, he can either accept her help, receiving the devices from her willingly, or try to steal it from her, leading to her being injured further and fleeing. If the former is chosen, Bruce can invite her into the Batcave to investigate with him. However, if the latter is chosen, Alfred, having seen Bruce's actions, chastises him for doing so and tells him that he needs help. Regardless, Bruce returns to the Batcave to investigate the laptop.

After linking the laptop to the Batcomputer, Bruce used the drive and goggles to access the drive. If he invited Selina into the cave, she joins him in the investigation and can enter a relationship with him, if he chooses to. Leaving the Batcomputer to scan for any failsafe measures, he talked to Alfred in the armory, receiving a new version of his contact lenses and, if he invited Selina into the cave, why he did so. After the Batcomputer finished scanning, Bruce investigated the laptop to discover Project LOTUS was a biological weapon created by SANCTUS for unknown purposes. He also discovered the location of the black-site was underneath a business called the Bodhi Spa and had ties to the Agency. Calling Waller to confront her on this information, the two arranged to meet up in his office and he left to do so.

Upon arrival, Bruce found Tiffany in is office and was arrested by Gordon and the GCPD. As they were about to take him into custody, Waller and Avesta arrived and forced them to let him go. Afterward, Bruce watched as they dismissed Gordon and was allowed time to talk with Tiffany. Having called the GCPD for his protection or because she suspected him to be a criminal, Bruce told her about his involvement with the Agency. Asking to know why he had been involved, he can either not tell her or reveal he is Batman to her. If the latter is chosen, he shows her proof, including a video from Lucius showcasing a version of the Batsuit, and accepts her into the circle. Regardless, Tiffany left, giving him time to talk with Waller.

Waller revealed the Agency's involvement with SANCTUS and the potential danger the organization could be. She suggested that Bruce lead the Pact to the black-site and use them to fight SANCTUS whilst the Agency maintained the fighting. Though the plan would cost lives, it would reduce the damage caused if they were not kept within the perimeter. Regardless of Bruce's views on the plan, Waller suggested that he investigated the black-site so the Agency would know what measures they were up against.

Arriving at the location, Bruce investigated the spa from behind the alley, reporting his findings to Waller. During this, he noticed a patron enter a room underground and deduced that the lab was actually underground. After reporting this to Waller, he discovered that Bane had followed him and had also deduced that the Spa was the black-site, having learned about Project LOTUS from either Bruce or John. Having noticed Bruce's meeting with Waller and seen him leave without any worries, Bane suspected that Bruce was the mole and knocked him unconscious. He then took him to the hideout to meet with Harley.

After she gave an excuse why Bruce had been investigating the spa, Harley talked with Bruce privately, during which she asked his opinion on murder as a form of punishment. During the meeting, she revealed that the laptop had gone missing and had narrowed the possible moles down to two people: Bruce and Catwoman. She also threatened Tiffany's life if Bruce was revealed and left John to interrogate him. Seeing no other way to protect Bruce, John suggested that they pinned the mole onto Catwoman to protect him. When Harley returned, Bruce is forced to choose between either himself or Selina.

If Bruce chooses to blame Catwoman for the theft, Harley thanks him for telling her and he accompanies both her and John to watch her execution. Though he almost gets involved when she tries to escape, he is stopped by Bane, who tells him he will be killed if he gets involved. As the Pact place Catwoman into one of Riddler's "murder boxes" to keep her contained, after she destroyed one of Freeze's cryogenic chambers, Bruce is forced to leave her behind to help the Pact raid the black-site.

If Bruce chooses to blow his cover, he is taken to be executed by Harley and John. Placing him in one of Freeze's cryogenic chambers, the Pact activate it to kill him, despite John's pleas to use another form of punishment. As they leave to raid the black-site, Harley promises to harm Tiffany and leaves him whilst the cryogenic chamber freezes up.

What Ails You

Depending on who Bruce chose to blame for the laptop theft, the following will happen to him.

If Bruce chose to blame Catwoman, he joins the Pact as they raid the SANCTUS lab. Upon arriving, he helps Harley knock out the receptionist and leads the rest of them to the lab's entrance. Upon entering, he informs Waller about his location and helps the group with dealing with the lab's defenses. Bruce also takes over as "technical expert" when John fails to install Riddler's program into the system. He also reduces casualties by taking out a majority of the SANCTUS workers they encounter.

Upon reaching the lab, he is able to slip through into its doors and starts working to destroy Project LOTUS. After unlocking two of the terminals, Harley Quinn realizes he has betrayed them and orders the others to help open the doors. After unlocking all the terminals, Bruce activates the fire failsafe, burning the collection of samples. As he does so, the Pact break into the lab and turn their attention to killing Bruce, for his betrayal.

With Freeze and Harley extracting the virus, Bruce is forced to fight a venom empowered Bane. After being pinned against the wall, Bane tries to kill him by crushing his head, only for him to be distracted by John. As Freeze tries to escape with the vials, Bruce is able to stop him, only for Harley to smash the vials, save for one, and leaves the scientist in an airlock. As Harley leaves, the Agency arrives and subdues Bane.

If Bruce chose to take the blame for the theft, he is able to escape the cryo chamber by hacking the EMP generator with his phone. After escaping, he gives Alfred an update and summons the Batmobile to his location. After suiting up, he arrives at the Bodhi Spa, only to find staff and patrons brutally murdered by the Pact. After finding a living SANCTUS employee, he goes into the lab to stop the Pact.

After bypassing another door, he discovers Catwoman, who informs him about men guarding the other members. After hearing about what she had seen, Batman decides to stop the Pact. He can ask for Catwoman's help, should he choose to. After sneaking into the lab, Batman takes down the guards and confronts the Pact. After distracting them with Batarangs, he engages Bane and Freeze. Depending on whether Catwoman joins the battle, Harley either fights him or the thief.

After Bane injects Venom into his system, Batman is almost outmatched but is able to use Freeze's glove to disable one of his arms. After defeating the scientist, he turns his attention to destroying the virus incubator via either sticky bomb or throwing Bane into it. As Freeze attempts to flee with several vials of the virus, Batman stops him with his grappling gun, but give Harley the opportunity to betray her fellow members by shattering the vials, stealing the last one and locking the only way out. As the Agency arrives, Batman meets with Waller. If Catwoman was present during the fight, she thanks him for letting her help and escapes.

Following their arrival, Bruce/Batman watched as the Agency arrested Bane and cleared up the lab. In the middle of it, he told Alfred to contact Tiffany and get her to come over to Wayne Manor, to hide from Quinn. Whilst talking to Waller and Avesta, they conversed about the effects of SANCTUS and how they were going to find Harley Quinn. When Avesta suggested talking to Freeze, Bruce/Batman agreed to do so, despite Waller telling him not to. After she distracted the agent guarding the criminal, he took a bioscan of Freeze and asked about the Pact's plans with Project LOTUS. Freeze told Bruce/Batman about the curing properties of LOTUS and that the Pact had been planning to use them to cure their various problems, including Bane's addition to Venom and Nora's incurable disease. Revealing that Riddler had survived an infection with the virus, Freeze told Bruce/Batman about blood samples he had stored in the Pact's lair and asked for the temperature of the airlock to be lowered, to help combat his LOTUS infection. Bruce/Batman has the option to comply but leaves with Avesta to retrieve the samples.

At Avesta's suggestion, he investigated as Bruce Wayne, believing that doing so would prevent Harley from doing something drastic. During the ride over, Avesta admitted to having been the one who had told Waller about his true identity, which Bruce can forgive her for. If Batman had chosen to save her fellow agents, Iman's hearing aids are briefly interfered with by the car's passive security system. As they drove to the lair, Bruce learned about Harleen Quinzel's father and a hereditary mental illness which was present in his side of her family. Iman also shared her doubts about Waller, especially with her hiding information about the properties of LOTUS and giving up Riddler's body intentionally, and that she was considering leaving the organization.

Upon arrival, they found the Pact's lair to be empty, though there were traces of someone being there. Whilst investigating, Bruce found a skeleton key, used by Agency operatives, leading him and Avesta to realize that they had been there. Further findings revealed that Riddler's blood had been taken, including from the body itself, and bombs that had been created some time ago. Using the evidence, Bruce realized that Waller was planning to use Project LOTUS to blackmail the Pact into working for the Agency, planning to offer the virus to them for their services. She had sent the team to ensure that Harley couldn't retrieve the samples and make her desperate to cooperate with the Agency. Upon hearing a noise from her office, Bruce and Iman went up to investigate, finding a drunk John at the desk.

After waking him up, Bruce, believing he would know where Harley was, demanded to know where she had gone. After revealing she had been in the lair, John vented his frustrations towards Bruce, believing him to be responsible for Harley's betrayal and the others' capture. He also blamed him for giving bad advice to win over her affections. Eventually, Bruce was able to convince John to help locate Harley, with him leaving to find out where she was hiding. If he tries to go with him, John turns a gun on him and Avesta, before revealing it to be empty and escaping. Iman left to locate the samples of Riddler's blood, whilst Bruce sent Alfred a bioscan of Riddler's body and asked for him to simulate the effects of Project LOTUS if combined with his DNA.

When he returned to the Batcave, Bruce found Alfred lying unconscious. After helping him wake up, he investigated the effects of the LOTUS virus and discovered that, despite it curing all known physical problems, it would cause severe damage to the brain's chemistry and lead to various psychological problems. Realizing that it only caused more harm than good, he sent his findings to Avesta and talked with Alfred about the care he needed to receive. Moments later, Iman contacted Bruce to tell him she had located Riddler's blood in the Agency's cold storage and her intentions to destroy it. After giving her advice, he helped Alfred back to the Manor and arranged to get a doctor to see him. Depending on whether Bruce told Tiffany about his activities as Batman, the following will happen.

Whilst waiting for the doctor to arrive, Tiffany tells Bruce about the Agency reaching out after she called Gordon and the GCPD and that Waller had offered her a position in the organization. He also listens to her as she admits struggling to work at Wayne Enterprises after her father's death and that she believes that she will be able to change the world for the better if she does join them, despite their questionable ethics. Depending on dialogue chosen, she decides to accept their offer or learns that Bruce is actually Batman.

Whilst waiting for the doctor to arrive, Tiffany unveils some designs for a suit she can wear if she is needed in the field. During this, she reveals designs for a gun for Bruce to use, only for him and Alfred to tell her that he doesn't use them as Batman. After explaining the reasons why Tiffany apologizes and promises to consider his ethical standards in the future.

After receiving a location from John, Bruce decided to leave Alfred and Tiffany to investigate his lead. Going to the Bonus Brothers Carnival, he investigated the funhouse to find Quinn, only to discover John surrounded by dead agents. Despite John's claims of self-defense, Bruce found some flaws in his testimony, including a number of gunshot victims despite him claiming that he had bludgeoned them to death with an object. Depending on whether Bruce is able to believe John's testimony, the two can either "get closer" or become more antagonistic towards each other. During the conversation, John also revealed that he knew Bruce was Batman and that he had been working within the Pact to dismantle it. As the conversation drew to a close, John revealed that Harley was planning an attack on the Gotham bridge to get the Agency to hand over Riddler's blood samples. He then asked Bruce to let him help and asked whether he believed him. Depending on whether Bruce chooses to believe John's claims, the following will happen.

If Bruce chooses to believe John's claims, the two leaves to the Gotham Bridge, where they find Harley in a stand-off against Waller and the Agency. With Quinn threatening to detonate bombs she has loaded into the surviving GCPD armored vehicle, Bruce asks Waller to let him and John through to negotiate a truce between them. After being allowed to do so, he tries to talk Harley down, only for her to get more agitated and close to detonating the explosives. Called away by John, he asks Bruce to let him negotiate with Harley, having known her for so long. If Bruce agrees to, he watches with Waller and Avesta as John seems to flirt with Harley and takes the detonator with her. With Waller now riled up, Bruce can either stop her from intervening or allow her to do so.

If Bruce chooses to let John negotiate with Harley and prevents Waller from sending in her agents, he watches as John gets the detonator away from her and helps arrest her. As Quinn is taken away, he watches as Waller turns on John, forcing him to attack the Agency. During the chaos, Waller sends her agents to capture Bruce, with him being forced to knock them out. When John attacks Waller, he has the option to either stop the new vigilante or stop an agent from shooting at them. Regardless of the decision, Bruce watches as John detonates the explosives and promises to bring the Agency to justice, before escaping by jumping off the bridge.

If Bruce chooses not to let John negotiate with Harley or lets Waller send her agents in to arrest them, he watches as he takes the detonator from Harley. Having lost his trust in Bruce, John berates him from doing so and calls him as dangerous as the Agency. After he detonates the explosives, Bruce is forced to save either a civilian, a cop or an agent from falling debris. After doing so, he watches as John and Harley escape in the chaos.

If Bruce chose not to believe John, he is told how disappointed he is with him and chases after him as he tries to escape. When John blocks their way with a trap he and Harley had set up, Bruce is forced to let him go and contacts Alfred to give him feed about what is happening on the Gotham Bridge. With his chance to negotiate with Quinn lost, he decides to stop her as Batman.

Arriving a short while into a standoff between the criminal, Waller and the Agency, Batman decides how he will stop Harley Quinn and battles her. After easily subduing her, he listens to her demands and threatened to destroy the bridge. When Waller approaches, he stands between the two to prevent further bloodshed and learns that due to Avesta's tampering, Harley's demands cannot be met. As Quinn gets more volatile after hearing this, he can try to either grab the cure or the detonator from her. Regardless of the choice, an arriving vehicle crashes into the middle of the chaos, causing Quinn to move and the attempt to miss.

As the door opens, the driver is revealed to have been John, having decided to return to Harley's side following Bruce's rejection. Batman can only stand by and watch, as John professes his loyalty to her and takes the detonator. Despite his attempts to get him to hand over the detonator, John refuses and calls his belief in the justice system "a joke", before detonating the bombs. As carnage ensures, Batman can save either a civilian, a cop and/or an agent from falling debris. As he recovers from being injured in the explosion, Batman watches as John calls him responsible for the destruction that has taken place and escapes with Harley by jumping off the bridge.

Same Stitch

Depending on whether John becomes a vigilante or a criminal, the following will happen to Batman.

If Bruce believed and trusted John, Batman is targeted by the Agency for assisting in his escape. Several weeks after the encounter, he learns about an encounter between members of the Agency and several of John's associates at Riddler's lair. After slipping past the agents, he is able to stop one of them from executing the group and confronts them. With the Agency believing he is helping John, the agents incapacitate him with their stun pistols, only for John to arrive and attack them. After being helped up, Batman fights of the Agents with John and his gang, easily defeating the Agents.

After the fight, John formerly introduces Batman to the group and reveals his new vigilante identity, "the Joker". After noticing that one of the agents is missing, Batman and Joker find him calling for the Agency to send in an asset, which they quickly discover to be Bane. Whilst Joker's gang flees, the two engage Bane, only to discover he is equipped with a new and more powerful version of Venom. During the battle, Batman can save either the Agent or one of Joker's gang members from Bane's wrath, but won't be able to save both at the same time. After subduing the criminal, he stops Joker from killing Bane after the latter accuses him of killing Riddler. With more agents arriving, the two quickly leave the scene whilst they arrive.

Calling Alfred and asking to meet him in an alleyway, Bruce receives a medical kit and begins tending to his wounds. After being able to treat an injury left by Bane, he receives a call from Waller, who demands he hands over Joker and the LOTUS virus or his identity will be revealed. Though Joker contemplates using the virus to kill Waller, Bruce is able to convince him to hand it over and, using a chamber in the Batmobile, has it destroyed. Needing to get the edge over Waller, they decide to find blackmail on her and consider contacting a number of associates. Deciding to contact Avesta, Bruce arranges to meet her on the roof of the GCPD Headquarters.

Upon arriving, Batman tells Joker to hide whilst he meets with Iman. Finding her in conversation with someone on the phone, he makes his presence known to her. Having discovered Waller was responsible for SANCTUS's survival, Avesta gives Batman information about what she has discovered. Knowing her career at the Agency is over, he gives her some advice, though can offer a position at Wayne Enterprises. As Iman leaves, they discover Waller is also on the rooftop and has been aware of their meeting.

After Waller accuses Batman of crossing a line to help Joker and demands he hand over the virus, he reveals that he has destroyed it and demands that she leaves Gotham. Waller refuses to and reveals that she has former members of the Pact, including Bane, Catwoman and Harley Quinn, working for the Agency as part of a new division. As she prepares to send them to attack him, Batman sends her the information Avesta has given him. With the tables now turned, he demands that she and the Agency leave Gotham, though can also demand that she frees Catwoman, allows Iman to leave without any action from her, or that Bane and Harley are placed in custody. Regardless, Waller agrees to meet the latter demands if he hands over Joker, which he can either agree to or decide against.

Regardless of whether Batman decides to meet her demand, Joker makes his presence known and criticizes him for either meeting her demands or allowing her to leave without action. When he attacks, Batman is forced to fight off the group whilst also ensuring Joker doesn't kill anyone. Though he is able to hold them off, they are eventually overwhelmed by they Agency and cornered. When Joker releases two bombs to force them away, Batman tries to save either Catwoman and the Pact or Avesta and the agents. Regardless of what is chosen, he is caught in the blast of the one he chose not to stop and is thrown though the floors of the GCPD.

Impaled on an iron rod, Batman is helped off it by either Selina or Iman and calls the Batmobile to take him back to the Batcave. As they make their way to the car, he falls unconscious from the blood loss, but is able to get home and have his injuries treated by Alfred. Regaining consciousness in the Batcave's medical bay, Bruce learns from Alfred that Joker has kidnapped Waller and that his actions are creating terror Gotham. Bruce decides that he should stop him and begins pinpointing places he could be with Alfred. Despite a thorough investigation, Bruce is unable to find any leads of Joker's possible locations, leading him to decide to revisit where they had fought the Agency. If he revealed his identity to Tiffany, she, having finished designing and creating her costume, will insist that the comes to help him, which he can agree to or insist that she stays. If the latter choice is chosen, she will give him her drone to help investigate and helps from the Batcave.

Arriving at the crime scene, Batman meets with Montoya and Gordon, who reveal that GCPD and Agency are in a power struggle over the site since Waller's kidnapping. If he didn't tell Tiffany his identity, he will also meet with her, now a member of the Agency, and be assisted by her. With both Gordon and Tiffany's help, Batman finds evidence that reveals Joker is operating out of the disused Ace Chemical Processing Plant. Deciding to investigate the scene, he is met by Harley Quinn, who has been granted temporary immunity until Waller is found. When she orders an Agency helicopter to attack him and the GCPD, Batman subdues her whilst Gordon and Montoya call off the attack. Whilst they take her into custody, he heads off the chemical plant to confront Joker.

After arriving at Ace Chemicals, Batman finds Joker and Waller in the main mixing chamber, where the vigilante is trying to force her to confess to her crimes. Batman tries to convince him to release the director, believing that he is going too far. When Joker refuses and tries to kill Waller, he is able to stop him from doing so, but is forced to fight a member of Joker's gang whilst he tries to escape. Following them to the walkways, his pleas lead Joker to lose faith in his crusade. When he tries to kill her for Riddler's death, Batman prepares to stop him, only to be distracted by Tiffany's sudden arrival. After she confesses to Riddler's murder, he tries to protect her from Joker. When Waller tackles the vigilante off the walkway, Batman catches him with his grappling gun and chases after him as he tries to escape.

Due to the pain caused by his injuries, Batman is unable to catch up with Joker before he murders a group of agents sent to capture him. Deciding to arrest him, the two engage in a fight, before chasing him across the factory as he tries to escape. Eventually catching up to him in the control room, Batman fights and defeats Joker, though is left exhausted from the battle. As Joker admits he knows that he used him, he asks Bruce whether he considered him his friend, despite using it as a pretense to enter the Pact. Regardless of what he says, he falls unconscious and is later found by either the GCPD or Agency.

Waking up in an ambulance, he finds Gordon and Waller waiting outside, talking about what has happened. Whilst Gordon leaves to arrange Joker's return to Arkham, he and Waller talk. Promising not to reveal his identity, Waller reveals that she and the Agency are leaving Gotham for good and that she will not be taking action against Tiffany. She also follows through with the demand he made on the rooftop, believing that him saving her from Joker is worth repaying. Depending on dialogue chosen, Batman either leaves to recover in the Batcave or finishes the conversation with Waller, though she will leave either be satisfied to work with him again or after arguing with him. If the latter is chosen, he and Gordon briefly talk, during which he advises Jim to either return to the GCPD or retire from law enforcement. After the conversation, he then leaves to return to the Batcave and recover from his injuries.

If Bruce did not believe or trust John, he continues to search for him and Harley, hoping to stop them from using LOTUS for malicious purposes. After several weeks, he is called to Cathedral Hill by Montoya to investigate a possible trap set up. Finding Bullock tied up in the back of a stolen van, Batman uses his cowl's lenses to analyze the detective for any possible traps. Finding a device in his abdomen, he tells the officers to get back whilst he extracts the item. After being able to remove the object from Bullock's body, he discovers that it was actually a jack-in-the-box and tells the officers that it is safe to cut Bullock down.

Some time later, Batman is met by Gordon, who had come to monitor the crime scene, despite no longer being part of the GCPD. During the conversation, the former commissioner tells the vigilante how he has become disillusioned by his crusade and wondering whether things have only gotten worse, due to his appearance. After Gordon leaves to attend to another matter, Batman is asked to talk to Bullock, who reveals that he had tracked down John Doe to the area. Directed to a weapons cache, the vigilante finds an order, seemingly filed by Regina Zellerbach. Deciding to confront her, Bruce tries to phone her, only getting a response from her assistant, and goes to Wayne Enterprises to find out the truth.

Arriving during the midst of a board meeting, Bruce interrupts to confront Regina, who is surprised by the document. Noticing one of the staff laughing, Bruce realizes he's been set up, with Harley Quinn and men in clown masks breaking into the room. After being forced to surrender, Quinn berates Bruce for betraying the Pact and introduces him to John's new identity: "the Joker". The criminal reveals his association with Bruce to the Wayne Enterprises board and, unveiling a gas dispenser filled with LOTUS, has his men put on gasmasks, forcing one upon the billionaire to ensure he survived. When Joker and Harley release the virus, Bruce, held down to the table by their men, can only watch as his employees die and Joker threatens to become his "best enemy". As the group leave, Bruce is knocked out by Quinn and left alone in the room.

Upon regaining consciousness, Bruce finds a piece of fabric left by Joker and makes his way to the lab, hoping to find out where Joker is hiding. If he revealed his identity to Tiffany, she helps him make his way through the building and takes him to the lab. Upon arriving, Bruce contacts Alfred and sets up a connection to the Batcomputer. Analyzing the fabric, they find traces of pollen, wax and wine, which he uses to search for possible locations of LOTUS dispensers. If Tiffany is present, she will also give him her drone to assist him in the field. Eventually, he deduces that there is a bomb at Divinity Church and leaves to defuse it as Batman. Contacting Waller, they organize for him to meet with an agent at the church and advises how to deal with Joker and Harley's outlandish demands.

Arriving at Divinity Church, Batman tells the bystanders to leave and is met by Avesta, who Waller has sent to help with the situation. If he chose not to reveal his identity to Tiffany, she, having joined the Agency, will also arrive to help with the situation. Using Tiffany's drone, Batman is able to find and defuse the bomb, despite some countermeasures set up by Joker. Whilst Tiffany investigates the paint on the dispenser to help find the duo, Batman discovers a message left by the Joker. After comforting Iman, who believes herself to be responsible for the criminal's action, Batman is contacted by Waller, who tells him that Gordon has contacted her on Joker's location. Talking to him directly, Batman learns that Joker is at Ace Chemicals and leaves to help apprehend him.

Upon arriving at the plant, Batman find Gordon, either outside and ready to raid the building or inside and seemingly knocked out. Upon investigating, he is ambushed by Joker's men and tries to fight them with Gordon's help, only to be defeated. Just before the two can be killed, Joker arrives and reveals that he has made a deal with Gordon to trade the locations of the dispensers for the vigilante. After the criminal betrays Gordon by shooting him through the legs, Batman tries to lash out, only to be held back by the goons. With him now at his mercy, Joker reveals that he will turn his allies against him and knocks Batman unconscious with a taser.

Whilst unconscious, Bruce is taken to the Bonus Brothers Carnival and placed into one of the rides. Joker also removes the Batsuit, placing him into a business suit, and handcuffs him onto the ride to ensure he doesn't escape. When Bruce regains consciousness, he awakes to find himself in the predicament and enters a room, where he sees Joker makes a captured Selina choose between his or her freedom. Left alone together, Bruce escapes his handcuffs and works with her to retrieve the key to escape the room. Using Riddler's cane, Bruce can either take the key for himself and try to leave the room alone or trusts Selina enough to escape. Regardless, the two are placed into another trap by Joker, but manage to defuse it. They are then forced to crawl through a hatch filled with sharp objects to reach the next room.

Upon arriving, Bruce finds a murder mystery puzzle to solve, with him needing to deduce who kill each victim. Finding the stickers in a hidden chest, he and Selina work together to solve the puzzle. After deducing the metaphorical murderers of his parents, Lucius and "John", they are left with only one victim: Riddler. Hearing knockings from a coffin within the room, Bruce opens it to find Tiffany. When Selina finds a sticker with her face on it, they realize Tiffany murdered Riddler in revenge for her father's murder. After stopping Selina from attacking her, the trio are lead into the next room.

Arriving at the funhouse's entrance, they discover Joker, Harley and their men, who force them to sit at a table they've prepared and bind them to their chairs. As the two physically attack them, Alfred joins the group and is forced to sit with them. After they bring in a LOTUS dispenser, Joker stabs Bruce in the leg, though loses the knife when Bruce either head-butts him or when it breaks. As Joker forces them to play a game of "Never-Have-I-Ever", Bruce is forced to admit to lying to and manipulating "a friend", though notices the lost blade. Working with Tiffany, he retrieves it and frees himself from his bonds. After the game finishes, Bruce stops Harley from releasing the virus by revealing either Joker's obsession with him or that he has double crossed her. Whilst she attacks the criminal in anger, he defuses the dispenser and frees his allies.

After subduing Joker and Harley's men, Bruce is forced to fight the two alone, as Selina is incapacitated by a collar she is wearing and the others are trying to escape. However, he is eventually able to free her and, after breaking down the doors, tells Tiffany to contact the GCPD, whilst she and Alfred flee. With help from Selina, Bruce is able to defeat Joker and Harley, leaving her to fight the latter whilst he chases Joker to another part of the carnival. After a grueling fight, Bruce defeats Joker and severely beats him, to the point where his heart goes erratic. Using a Bat-Stunner smuggled in by Alfred as a defibrillator, he is able to save the criminal's life. After sharing some memories about their time together, Bruce is stabbed in the side by Joker, who tells him to either remember their time together from the scar or promises to be Bruce's worst enemy.

After being found by the GCPD or Agency, Bruce is brought to paramedics and has his injuries treated. After regaining consciousness, he finds Waller by his side, who promises not to reveal his identity and have the Agency leave Gotham. Talking about the events that have transpired, Bruce can make arrangements for Selina, Gordon and Avesta's futures. As Waller leaves, she tells him that she is planning to arrest Tiffany for Riddler's murder, though asks him whether he wishes to confront her himself. Regardless of the choice, she leaves Bruce alone to recover.

Depending on whether Tiffany was told about Bruce's activities as Batman, the following possibilities will happen. However, if he confronted the villain Joker and asked Waller to arrest her, neither of these scenarios will happen.

Some time after the meeting with Waller, Batman arrives at City Hall, where Tiffany is due to be picked up. As he reviews an image of Riddler's murder, he enhances the photo to find that it was indeed Tiffany. Noticing an approaching helicopter, Batman sees her approach it and confronts her. Condemning her actions, he sees that she sees the murder as justified and that she knows he worked with Lucius. As Tiffany leaves, Batman leaves some final words for her and contacts Alfred, who asks him to return to Wayne Manor.

Some time after the meeting with Waller, Batman arrives at City Hall to confront her. As he reviews an image of Riddler's murder, he enhances the photo to find that it was indeed Tiffany. Noticing Tiffany's drone, Batman finds her on the edge of the building and confronts her. Condemning her actions, Bruce learns about how badly her family has been affected by Lucius' death. With Tiffany wondering about her future, Batman has the option of either deciding to hand her over to the authorities or give her a second chance.

If Batman decides to hand her over to the GCPD, Tiffany jumps off the roof, but uses her drone to hover in mid air. After some final words, he watches as she flies off and decides to return to Wayne Manor.

If Batman decides to take her under his wing, he offers Tiffany a second chance, despite his rules against killing. After Tiffany accepts, the two fly off to fight crime as partners.

Returning to Wayne Manor some time later, Bruce found Alfred in the parlor with a packed suitcase. Revealing that he had decided to leave their life as vigilantism behind, Alfred told Bruce that he was leaving his employ permanently, citing that their use of "John" and involvement in the creation of the Joker had been a step too far. The subsequent argument was heated, during which Bruce learnt that Alfred's PTSD was in remission after making the decision and how his crusade would only lead to his father's fate. As Alfred left for the airport, Bruce is forced to either let him leave to return home or give up vigilantism to convince him to stay. Depending on what is chosen, the following will happen.

If Bruce decides to give up Alfred and continue to operate as Batman or doesn't answer in time, Alfred gives him some information about the homestead before he leaves. After he is gone, Bruce returns to the Batcave to suit up as Batman and answer a call from the GCPD. If Bruce he had created the vigilante Joker and chose to regard him as his friend, he is later seen visiting him in Arkham Asylum, much to Joker's delight. However, if he chose not to, Batman later appears outside Arkham Asylum, checking to make sure he has not escaped.

If Bruce decides to give up Batman, he tells Alfred his intentions to do so and asks him to stay. After he agrees to do stay, Bruce hugs him whilst the Batsignal, which has been shining behind him, is turned off. If Bruce created the vigilante Joker and chose to regard him as a friend, he is later seen visiting him in Arkham Asylum, much to Joker's delight.

Personality

Batman's character is up to the player. Depending on decisions made by the player, he can be kind, friendly and caring of others, or violent, aggressive and, at times, selfish. Decisions made, such as saving Catwoman or Dent, can affect others and his reputation as Bruce Wayne or Batman.

During the first season, he was able to continue engaging Catwoman in combat and even best her, despite having just been shot right through the abdomen, with little to no negative effects on his overall health and performance; he didn't succumb to the pain of being electrocuted by Lady Arkham, retaining his senses long enough for Selina to tend to his severe injuries; he brutally defeated Penguin (should he confront him first instead of Harvey Dent) despite having sustained injuries from the fight, with blood even running through his nose; resisted the side affects of Lady Arkham's potent psychoactive drug for an extended period of time until eventually curing himself of its exacberation; decisively defeated Lady Arkham in their final fight despite receiving grevious punishment from her as well as a damaged ear (should he have unmasked himself) which had seemingly no negative effect on his performance.

It can be assumed that, at the beginning of The Telltale Series, Bruce was in his second year of operation as Batman, having already acquired some of his basic techs and recruited allies like James Gordon and Lucius Fox. This also leads to the assumption that he is in his third year during the events of The Enemy Within.
Since Bruce was nine years old when his parents were murdered, and Alfred mentions that it's been twenty years since Thomas and Martha Wayne were murdered, it can be assumed he was twenty-nine at the time of the first season. Since Bruce was probably in his second year of being Batman at the being of the series, this would mean Bruce first became the vigilante at the age of twenty-seven or twenty-eight.
