Synopsis[]
"Batman's Psychic Twin!"[]
A chemical blast accidentally links Batman and hoodlum Jo-Jo Gagan, causing one to experience whatever physical sensation the other does--which leads gangsters to the conclusion that if they kill Jo-Jo, Batman will die as well.
"The Return of the Penguin!"[]
The Penguin, after being in retirement since 1956, is taunted by hoodlums in a poolroom to prove he is not a “has-been”. Nettled,and his ever-present ego aroused, he begins a new spate of bird-crimes in Gotham City, which causes Batman and Robin to get on his trail again.
Valuable rubies are stolen from a Chinatown Museum, The Penguin's getaway aided by angry Eagles and getaway ostriches. An attempt to rob a millionaire's penthouse by the use of a gigantic,Penguin-shaped dirigible is foiled
moneywise. But Batman falls for a decoy Penguin dummy bailing out of the dirigible, and narrowly misses the resultant explosion. Stuffed Penguins are sent to 24 people known to be friends or associates of Batman;which means 4 and 20 blackbirds baked in a pie----and a robbery attempt at a Bird-Lover's banquet so Penguin can steel some original John J.Aubobon sketches, An exhibit room full of giant birds becomes a madhouse after Penguin sabotages the control board.
But Batman and Robin have set up Batman mannequins at all the exits---and The Penguin imagines himself surrounded.He surrenders and is furious at the bluff he fell for.
In prison, he refuses his dinner--"I have lost my taste for chicken pie".
