Synopsis[]

"The Psychic Super-Sleuth!"[]

A psychic offers his help to Batman, Robin, and Commissioner Gordon on a case, but Batman deduces that the “psychic” is an impersonator who has kidnapped the real mentalist.

"The Purloined Parchment Puzzle!"[]

During a pre-trial hearing for accused thief Donald Connery, Batman proclaims Connery’s innocence and promises to expose the real crook during the proceedings.

Connery and Frost had been guards at a museum that had acquired a valuable parchment. The museum curator had been knocked unconscious in his locked office. Connery, who had gone off for a drink of water, is adjudged to be the thief---as guard Frost, who heard noises outside, had to break into the locked office.

But Batman had been OUTSIDE the office and noticed a wall clock running several minutes slow---yet when he entered the office to investigate later; the clock was keeping accurate time. The curator had yanked out the cord when he toppled over, forcing the thief to hide the parchment if he wished to keep to his timed schedule and have an accurate alibi.

Batman finds the parchment rolled up in the office window shade and suggests fingerprints will prove the identity of the thief. Frost panics and drops a sleep gas bomb in the courtroom. Batman is wearing nose filters and captures Frost when he reaches for the parchment.
