The Batpod is Batman's primary vehicle in The Dark Knight. Intended as a kind of "escape pod" integrated into the Batmobile, it also serves an an auxiliary vehicle.

Armed with dual front-mounted cannons, and a grappling hook, the Batpod affords Batman greater mobility at the cost of some protection.
