Biography
Carl Finch was the District Attorney in Gotham before Harvey Dent was elected. He was present at the trial to give Joe Chill parole. He dedicated his career to eliminating crime in Gotham City, which made him an enemy of crime boss Carmine Falcone. Rachel Dawes was in a relationship with Finch. He was murdered by a corrupt cop who was paid off by Carmine Falcone.
Carl is first seen when he is as Joe Chill's lawyer trying to convince Judge Faden of giving Chill early parole as he had spent fourteen years in prison already and had apparently learned from his mistake of killing Thomas and Martha Wayne.
Years later Finch is in the Gotham Courthouse lobby when Jonathon Crane asks him to get Rachel Dawes off his back about his opinion on Zsasz going to Arkham Asylum; instead of County General. Finch and Dawes converse about him caring for her personally but Dawes cuts him off by telling him they were going to stick as friends and gives him a quick peck on the cheek. All of the conversation happens while Bruce Wayne watches from afar at a telephone booth in a run down disguise.
After Wayne as become the Batman and had saved Dawes in the train station, Dawes had obtained proof from Batman to get Carmine Falcone into prison, and leverage against Judge Faden to give a trial. Carl Finch is seen again officially stating the hunt on Falcone was started for them.
The last time Finch is shown is at the Gotham Docks when there is suspected to an extra WAYNE ENTERPRISES compartment then what the records sheet is saying. Inside the crate is a stolen micro-wave emitter, when seen, one of the corrupt cops with Finch take a rifle and shoot him multiple times killing him.
He is mentioned by Dawes to Wayne that he was "missing", since then he hasn't been spoke of.
