The Carpet King was a British entrepreneur who visited Gotham City during Mr. Freeze's latest crime.
History[]
As Batman and Robin climbed down the wall of Gotham City Police Headquarters, the Carpet King pops his head out of the window and explains to the Dynamic Duo he's here from England for a manufacture's convention. As Batman greeted him to Gotham City, Robin recognizes him as the King he read about in the newspaper. When Batman explains to Robin that England has no king now, only a queen, the Carpet King informs Batman that Robin is right; he is sometimes called "The King", and he says his full title, "Carpet King", much to Robin's surprise.
After wishing the Carpet King a good evening, Batman and Robin resumed climbing down the wall. After the Dynamic Duo left, the Carpet King looks toward the audience and says, "We have second story men in England, but this is ridiculous".
