Chuck Dixon (born April 14, 1954) is an American Comic Book writer, who is famous for his long run of Batman related stories in the 1990s, and for the co-creation of the villain Bane.
History with Batman
After his success with Punisher: Kingdom Gone in 1990, he was approached by the DC editor at the time Denny O'Neil, who asked Chuck to write a Robin mini-series. The popularity of the mini-series spawned two sequels, The Joker's Wild, and Cry For the Huntress, which Dixon was also involved in. Dixon eventually moved onto Detective Comics, from issues #644-738, which also included KnightFall and KnightsEnd, for which he assisted in creating the main antagonist of the issues, Bane. He also worked on the popular and well recieved stories DC One Million, Contagion, Legacy, Cataclysm, and No Man's Land.
His illustrator for most of his stories has been Graham Nolan.
