- During a concert, Coolio claimed that he'd agreed to appear in Batman & Robin on the condition that he was cast as the villain in the next film, elaborating that it may have been the Scarecrow. However, he claimed this would have been unlikely due to conflict with director Joel Schumacher,[1] who was also courting Nicholas Cage for the role.[2]
