The Crimson Knight AKA Richard "Dick" Lyons is a knight themed mobster enemy of Batman who faked the identity of a vigilante ally to the Dynamic Duo.

Earth One[]
Richard "Dick" Lyons was a crime-lord in Gotham City. Lyons used his wealth in blood-money to assume the masked crime-fighter identity of, "Crimson Knight" to pose as a superhero in Gotham who would rival Batman and Robin. The Knight's endgame was to rob Gotham's Liberty Train which transported various historic documents.
Batman was able to deduce Knight's true motives via cross-referencing his abilities with known criminals in Gotham who he had files on. Batman and Robin then confronted Crimson Knight on the Liberty Train where Knight attacked them with an electrified sword. Batman was ultimately able to defeat the mobster and he was arrested by the authorities.
Paraphernalia[]
- Armour: As Crimson Knight, Lyons equipped himself with red armour.
- Automobile: Crimson Knight had a large one-person convertible themed towards his medieval gimmick. A knight's crest and fake horse-head adorned the front of the car.
- Lance: Knight often fought with a large red lance, sometimes using it from the seat of his car like a knight on horseback.
- Sword: Crimson Knight's sword contained a switch in its handle which allowed it to become electrified as a deadlier weapon.
Notes and trivia[]
- Dick Lyons' plan to impersonate a vigilante ally/rival to the Dynamic Duo while undermining them for criminal incentive is very similar to Deadshot's plan from his first appearance in comics as well as that of obscure villain Mister Marvel.
