Daniel Robert "Danny" Elfman is an American composer, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Elfman composed the score for Batman and Batman Returns. He composed the main theme for Batman: The Animated Series, a variation of his 1989 Batman movie theme, heard during the opening and ending credits of each episode. The trailers for both Batman Forever and Batman & Robin used his themes despite only utilizing entirely new themes by Elliot Goldenthal within the films themselves. Elfman's tracks were used in LEGO Batman: The Videogame in 2008.

In June 2017, it was announced that Elfman was selected to compose the Justice League score, replacing Zack Snyder's collaborator Junkie XL. In October 2017, Elfman confirmed that he had included his Batman theme in the film.[1]

Elfman is known scoring most of Tim Burton's films throughout his career. Other works include Beetlejuice, Dick Tracy, The Flash television seres intro, The Simpsons intro, Nightbreed, Darkman, The Nightmare Before ChristmasMen in Black, Spider-Man and Hulk.
