The East End is a district located in Gotham City. It is located on the north island as one of the poorer districts, with heavy crime rates and activities such as mugging, prostitution and drug trade. Its most prominent location is "Crime Alley", the alleyway where Bruce Wayne's parents Thomas and Martha Wayne were murdered by Joe Chill, an event which started off his career as Batman.

The area is also referred to as "Old Gotham" in Batman: Arkham Origins, with it connected to "New Gotham" via the Pioneer's Bridge.
