Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. voiced Alfred Pennyworth in Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures. Zimbalist was chosen to replace Clive Revill, who appeared in only three episodes of the 1992 series. Zimbalist kept reprising the role in all other cossover shows and spinoff movies.
Zimbalist is also widely known for voicing Doctor Octopus in the Marvel nimated series Spider-Man, which competed with the Batman series in the mid-90s.
