Ezra Miller portrayed Barry Allen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the start of a since aborted "DC Films" shared universe. Miller was selected for the role by Zack Snyder as comic relief while the rest of the Justice League members were played straight. Other appearances included Suicide Squad, the Justice League movie and the Flash solo movie.
