Batman[]

History with WB[]

Stephen King's IT chapter one and two were major hits for WB, opening the door to working on DC Films projects. The red balloons from the IT movies were referenced in the trailer for Birds of Prey. The siblings started working closely with WarnerMedia executive Walter Hamada to launch a cinematic Multiverse, allowing multiple actors to portray Batman at once. Birds of Prey screenwriter Christina Hodson was assigned to re-write Grant Morrison's Flash script to fit with the redefined take on DC Films at the time, as a Barbara Muschietti production.

Flash movie[]

On February 18th of 2021 Barbara posted instagram photo of herself standing on the lot at Leavesden Studios, indicating the start of production.[1] On April 16th the Muschiettis announced the formation of their production company Double Dream.[2] The production of the movie was longer than usual due government lockdowns at the time, causing the movie's release date to be pushed back numerous times. During this long period DC FanDome was created to market DC properties through the internet, Muschiettis made appearances at these online events. AT&T also sold all of their entertainment assets to Discovery Channel immediately following the Snyder Cut debacle, which did not yield the profits they were expecting. The Flash went through a numerous re-shoots and changes in the edit after the shift in management. AT&T's "Multiverse" directive and intention of launching a new shared continuity in which Michael Keaton replaces Ben Affleck as the resident Batman was dropped entirely. Instead the movie was marketed as shutting the book on the former shared universe in favor James Gunn's re-imagining of a DC film series for Discovery.
