The Freeze Truck was a hi-tech Urban Tank built by Mr. Freeze.
History[]
The Freeze Truck was first seen at the beginning during Mr. Freeze's heist at the Gotham Museum. During Batman and Robin's fight with the Hockey Thugs, Mr. Freeze gets away in the truck's escape rocket.
The truck later attacks the Save the Rainforest Costume Ball with its freeze ray, and was then pursued by Batman and Robin in the Batmobile and Redbird. After landing safely on the roof of the Gotham Water and Power building, Mr. Freeze used the truck's freeze ray to freeze the Batmobile, but Batman ejects from the vehicle and crashes through the truck's windscreen, and captures Freeze. It was later impounded by the police after Freeze's arrest, but was later reclaimed by Freeze after he escaped Arkham Asylum with help from Poison Ivy and Bane.
The truck was used in the climax during the battle of Gotham Observatory. As one of the thugs uses its freeze ray on the Bathammer, Batman uses the vehicle's shield to the reflect the ray's blast back at the truck, obviously destroying it. It is unknown what became of the truck's remains.
Weapons[]
The Freeze Truck was equipped with various weapons and gadgets that were built into its chassis. The main weapon was a Freeze Gun that was similar to Mr. Freeze's handheld weapon that could fire an energy beam that was capable of encasing objects in solid ice, however, it was far more powerful than the handheld weapon. The icicle like spikes on the front of the vehicle were actually missiles that could be fired in a barrage. The final weapon that was seen was a large rocket that could be launched from the back of the vehicle. That rocket was actually a missile that would fly into the air on the edge of the atmosphere then drop back down, detonate (presumably), and destroy a large city, like Gotham. However the rocket's destructive capability was never fully tested as Batman and Robin destroyed the rocket before it could exit the atmosphere.

This vehicle is referred to as Drilling Truck in Akiva Goldsman's script, it is described as being able to travel underground by drilling. In the final movie this ability isn't present, likely due to budgetary concerns coming from Peter MacGregor-Scott and the studio. Conceptual illustrator Jacques Rey designed this tank under direction from Joel Schumacher. Builder Jay Brett referred to the vehicle as Freeze Truck. Licensees such as Kenner referred to the armored truck as the Freezemobile, creating a discrepancy with other marketing materials.
