Biography
Working with a comedy legend
Gene Ufland lived in Gotham City and worked as a producer on Murray Franklin's popular talk show, Live With Murray Franklin. He was present when Arthur Fleck arrived to appear on the show, an appearance that led to Murray's death live on air
Legacy
Ufland later wrote a book, The Night the Laughter Died about the tragic events of that night. A guard at the Arkham State Hospital had Fleck sign a copy shortly before Fleck himself was murdered.
