Geoff Johns is an American writer and producer. He served as Chief Creative Officer at DC Entertainment from 2016 to 2018. After the commercial failure of the Justice League movie, he was given a different position more focused on television.
He is well known his work on Green Lantern while collaborating with artist Ethan Van Sciver for DC Comics. The pair also worked on highly successful Flash and Aquaman stories. Johns has rarely worked on Batman compared the other heroes but did write both Batman: Earth One and Batman: Three Jokers.
He is also a comic book retailer who co-owns Earth-2 Comics in Northridge, California with Carr D'Angelo and Jud Meyers.
Johns has contributed to several superhero movie scripts but only did uncredited dialogue contributions for the re-shoots of Suicide Squad. He also co-wrote the original screenplay for The Batman with Ben Affleck, though it was abandoned in favor of a new version by Matt Reeves.
