The Gotham City Police Headquarters (also referred to as GCPD HQ) is the base of operations for the Gotham City Police Department. Located in Old Gotham, it is used as the main hub for the police and where the commissioner's office is located. The Batsignal is often equipped on the Headquarters' rooftops, allowing the GCPD to call Batman to help them.

Gotham City Police Headquarters is located at the junction of the area called Five Points on the lower east side of Gotham City. The main building was first constructed in 1899.

1960s Batman series[]

The GCPD Headquarters serve as one of the main locations of the Batman series. In most episodes, Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara call Batman and Robin to the building to begin investigations into an arch-criminal. Though they primarily use the Batphone, several episodes and the feature film show the Batsignal being used. The exterior was filmed on sets, as were the interior scenes.

Batman: Arkham Series[]

Various GCPD Headquarters feature in the Batman: Arkham video game series, serving as a visitable location for Batman.

In Batman: Arkham City, an old GCPD building is located in the Amusement Mile of Arkham City. Closed by Commissioner Gordon five years prior, Mr. Freeze takes up residence in the building, using the old forensic labs to help create a cure for his wife. Batman visits the building to recover a cure for Joker's illness. The main lab is used as an Invisible Predator map populated with Penguin's men and the location of Mr. Freeze's boss fight. In Batman: Arkham Origins, the same building is revealed to have served as one of Gotham's train stations.

The GCPD Headquarters serve as a major location in Batman: Arkham Knight, with Batman visiting it to either deal with the Arkham Knight's Militia or investigate several Most Wanted missions. After completing the latter, Batman will bring . In addition to hold up, Batman can also visit the GCPD's evidence lockers to view his enemies' confiscated equipment and recover the Remote Electric Charge used in Arkham City.
