The Dark Knight had its own version of CNN called "GCN". In the The Dark Knight DVD, episodes of Gotham Tonight of the GCN Network were found and explained events before the film. It seems to be inspired by similar satirical news stations seen in Frank Miller's 1986 Dark Knight series.
