Hecate is a cat owned by Catwoman and one who often assists her in her life of crime.
History[]
Earth Two[]
Hecate was a black cat owned by professional criminal Selina "Catwoman" Kyle and named after the Hellenistic goddess of witchcraft. Catwoman was a loving owner and sometimes schemed alongside her pet, such as when she came up with the idea to fake having nine lives to acquire a criminal following. When Catwoman kidnapped Robin to hold captive during her, "Black Cat Crimes", Robin noticed mud and pine-needles on Hecate's paws, relayed the information to Batman on a hidden radio, and the two deduced Catwoman's lair to be in the Bay-Shore Marsh.
Earth One[]
In this continuity, Hecate was a Siamese cat rather than a black cat. After Catwoman escaped from Gotham State Penitentiary, Bruce found Hecate and followed her to Catwoman's new lair.
