Hush was the criminal alias adopted by Thomas Elliot, a former estate mogul and childhood friend-turned-business rival of Bruce Wayne. Seeking revenge against him, he attempted to destroy Wayne Enterprises after Batman's disappearance, becoming enemies with Wayne's cousin Batwoman.
