How Mr. Freeze got Isolde was unknown.
She was first seen in her seal house inside Mr. Freeze's iceberg disguised submarine when Mr. Freeze ordered his men to dissemble the hideout and told her he's bringing her along with him.
When Mr. Freeze and his gang arrived at their hideout under the Bruce Wayne Ice Rink in Gotham City, Isolde was seen in her new seal house. After Mr. Freeze gives Isolde a fish for supper, he tells her he has a small errant for her to do for him at nightfall. When nighttime came, Mr. Freeze sent Isolde to Gotham City Police Headquarters with a demand for Commissioner Gordon attached to one of her flippers demanding for Bruce Wayne to make a televised appearance. After Gordon and Chief O'Hara contacted Bruce Wayne and Batman, Gordon ordered his secretary, Bonnie, to place Isolde in a tub full of ice water downstairs.
Bruce arrives at the Ice Arena, with Aunt Harriet to attend the ice review featuring Glacia Glaze. Soon afterward, he receives a phone call from Dick Grayson, and after using an anti-eavesdrop batplug, is told by Dick that he has brought the remote Batmobile phase advancer. Bruce then instructs him to remotely bring the Batmobile to the back alley behind Police Headquarters and to put their costumes in some rental lockers outside of Commissioner Gordon's office.
Bruce and Dick arrive at Police Headquarters and Bruce pre-tapes a telecast for Mr. Freeze. Just after the two depart, Batman and Robin make their appearance and receive the briefcase full of dummy money for Mr. Freeze. Batman gives Commissioner Gordon a small echoing seal pulsator, which he says may help them later.
After Batman and Robin located Mr. Freeze's hideout under the Bruce Wayne Ice Rink, Mr. Freeze finds the money is all phony and after a brawl, the Dynamic Duo were placed in the Sub-Zero Temperature Vaporizing Cabinet and were seemingly vaporized as part of the Ice Rink Just before Mr. Freeze and his gang escaped to their iceberg hideout with Professor Isaacson, Mr. Freeze sacrifices Isolde as another expendable seal. After the villains and Isaacson left, Batman and Robin escaped through an emergency pipe leading through Isolde's seal house.
When Mr. Freeze froze parts of Gotham, Batman instructs Gordon to place the echoing seal pulsator on Isolde and release her to return to Mr. Freeze's iceberg hideout while they track her in the Batcopter.
When Isolde found her way back to the hideout, Mr. Freeze was surprised and delighted to see her again and how she found her way back. After Batman and Robin revealed themselves to be alive, they defeated Mr. Freeze and his gang and rescued Isaacson. After the villains were led away by the police, Batman rewards Isolde with a fish from his utility belt.
Later at Wayne Manor, Bruce, Dick, Aunt Harriet and Alfred play with the new slot car racing track Harriet set up for them, and Dick named his car "Isolde".
