John is best known for his role of Gomez Addams in The Addams Family which he portrayed alongside Carolyn Jones (Morticia Addams) and Ted Cassidy (Lurch) who both appeared in the Batman 1960s series as well with Ted reprising his role for a Batclimb cameo and Carolyn guest starring as Marsha, Queen of Diamonds.
