Curiously, Wallace played the role of a mayor in The Taking of Pelham One Two Three and Daniel. In the former he portrayed a fictional mayor of New York City, which was the genesis for Gotham as seen in Batman media. In his portrayal of Borg, Wallace was also noted as looking like New York's mayor, Ed Koch, in multiple reviews for the film.
