Mayor Marion Grange was the elected mayor during the time of the first appearances of The Batman in Gotham City.
History[]
Several murder attempts were made on the Mayor's life by The Joker, who also targeted his wife during the villain's brief tenure as a mock 'crime-fighter'. Marion Grange is also a close friend of the Wayne family. A shrewd politician, he nonetheless buys into the irresponsible bachelor image Bruce cultivates, creating some grief for the young billionaire.
