Mini-Mines were weapons used by Batman during his war on crime. They were often used to destroy obstacles and objects. Batman made use of the mines throughout his crusade.
Functionality[]
The Mini-Mines consisted of a small shell capable of being held in Batman's palm. The device consisted of spike-like nodes, which by default were kept in side the device, and an arming switch. When armed, it would eject the nodes that would detonate the device when they were pushed back inside. The explosives inside the mines were powerful enough to make a hole in a wall and destroying the lock for a door, though were not capable of removing a large pile of debris. It is currently unknown whether Batman fitted the mines with other features than explosives.
History[]
Batman first made use of two mini-mines during his escape from Arkham Asylum. To escape the building, he used one of them to destroy the lock of a cell door. Batman then used another to destroy the cell's window, using it to get to the street.
Roughly ten years later, Batman gave a mine to John Blake to use on a large pile of debris blocking Gotham's catacombs. Despite the detective following his instructions to use it, the mine was unable to shift the debris.
