Mister ZZZ is a mobster enemy of Batman. He is a small-time Gotham City gangster who has a rare form of Narcolepsy which causes him to always appear half-asleep while actually acutely aware of his surroundings. His partner-in-crime is the diminutive Italian-American mobster Anthony "Little Italy" Marchetti.

Mister ZZZ was a small-time gangster in Gotham City with a rare form of Narcolepsy making him always appear half-asleep. ZZZ was often assisted in crime by fellow gangster, Anthony "Little Italy" Marchetti who often acted as the brains of their operations.
Night of the Penguin[]
The two attended Penguin's opening night of the Iceberg Lounge where they implanted a transmitter in ZZZ's head to feed him cheating information so that he could win at cards. As Bruce Wayne also attended the opening, he took notice and Batman later confronted Mister ZZZ in his hideout. Batman had ZZZ return the money and skip town, later stopping Penguin from seeking revenge on the mobsters. Despite this, Mister ZZZ and Little Italy made various other appearances in Gotham's criminal-underworld.
Double Talk[]
Little Italy and Mister ZZZ attended a, "Coming Back" party for the powerful crime-lord, "Scarface", a dummy which was controlled by the mentally-ill Arnold "The Ventriloquist" Wesker who was killed in a gang-war with rival gangster Great White Shark. As it turned out, Scarface's persona was being used by the new gangster Peyton Riley.
