Moonman

Brice Rogers AKA Moonman is a supervillain adversary of Batman and Superman who has superpowers from lunar radiation from Earth's moon.

History[]

Earth One[]

Origins[]

Brice Rogers was a military enlisted pilot who was sent into the moon's orbit within a rocket propelled by Superman. While in orbit, Brice was exposed to both radiation from the moon, and from a Kryptonite meteorite which gave him superhuman powers. This exposure to Kryptonite was observed by Superman on Earth with his enhanced vision. When he returned to Earth, Brice's new physiology incarnated within an alternate personality called, "Moonman" who appeared in the moonlight like a werewolf and had the power to manipulate electromagnetism and create an aura of Kryptonite energy which weakened Superman.

Moonman[]

Moonman travelled to Gotham City where he robbed a new, "Historic vehicles" exhibit and defeated Superman in the process. When Moonman was confronted by Batman and Robin, he used his magnetism manipulation to turn the vehicles of the exhibit against them. The next morning, Brice awoke with no memory of the crimes and upon finding stolen goods from the museum in his house, he contacted Superman and the Dynamic Duo under the assumption that Moonman was hiding in his home.

The heroes pieced together Moonman's true identity only for Moonman to commit more crimes, attempting to steal moon related objects. While in his daytime form, he would attempt to hand himself over to the authorities only to be kidnapped with criminals who worked for his alter-ego. After one fight with Superman, Batman and Robin, Moonman's powers seemingly faded away naturally and he was not held legally liable for his crimes, being sent back to the military.

Prime Earth[]

Moonman appeared in a flashback described by Atomic Skull. Moonman was one of the inmates of Stryker's Island who was abused by the, "LexGuards" hired by the government to run the prison. According to Atomic Skull, Moonman nearly died of pneumonia twice from the prison's poor conditions, with a collapsed lung the second time. It is inferred that he was also one of the inmates kept in the prison's solitary confinement for months at a time.

The New Adventures of Batman[]

Moonman appeared in this television show under the new alter-ego of Scott Rogers. Here he was an astronaut friend of Batman who was transformed by lunar radiation into an Earth hating avatar for the Moon. He was voiced by Lennie Weinrib.

The villainess Lady Lunar drew her power from the same moon radiation as Brice.
