Cleo Cazo, also known as Ratcatcher 2, was a criminal turned member of the Suicide Squad. The daughter of the original Ratcatcher, she used technology developed by him to commanded rats and rodents. Initially using these to survive, she later immigrated to the United States and became a career criminal. Eventually arrested and held in Belle Reve Penitentiary, Ratcatcher was inducted into the Suicide Squad. She played a crucial role in the team's Corto Maltese mission.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Cleo Cazo was born in Portugal to an unnamed criminal and an unmentioned woman. When she was young, Cleo lived on the streets of Porto with her father, scavenging to survive. At some point, he taught her to use technology he'd developed to control rats, which he used in his career as the original Ratcatcher. She shared her father's interest in rats due to them being unappreciated by many. At some point during her childhood, Cleo's father died of a drug overdose, leading her to move to America.
In the states, Cazo took on her father's identity as "Ratcatcher 2", using the technology he'd left her to commit crimes. At some point, she took on a pet named Sebastian, who helped her in her schemes. Cazo was eventually captured during a bank robbery and was convicted of armed robbery, with her use of rats being labeled as "weapons". She was subsequently recruited into Amanda Waller's Task Force X/Suicide Squad during an unknown point in her incarceration.
