”When you’re done, he’s ours”

”Grenada...don’t even think it”

-Raymond Grenada and Batman before the latter interrogates Drexel

History[]

“He was a man of class and discipline. I, myself, learned at his side.” - Grenada’s toast to Georgio Ventura and his men

Raymond Grenada was an influential mob boss in Gotham City and was in the mob inner circle. He was mentored by Georgio Ventura. During Batman: Year Three, shortly after Ventura and his men’s deaths at the hands of Tony Zucco’s gang, Grenada is seen having dinner in a restaurant with the mob inner circle. He proposes a toast to the late Ventura, professing that he himself learned at Ventura’s side. He then says that six mob bosses have died and the remaining bosses have learned nothing despite having hundreds of men strong-arming information. Grenada then suspects that one of the other bosses is behind the killings, but is cut off mid sentence by Antony Agoura, who is quick to disprove Grenada’s theory. When Batman enters the room Louis Fairfax, who has a particular hatred of Batman, prompts the other bosses, including Grenada, to try to shoot Batman. This fails and the mob bosses are disarmed. They later accept Agoura’s proposal to work with Batman to find out who is behind the killings. After Agoura mentions Tony Zucco Batman decides to pay a visit to an employee of one of Zucco’s front businesses, named Drexel. Batman and the mob bosses interrogate Drexel, but Batman has to dissuade Grenada from taking revenge on Drexel.

Powers and Abilities[]

Grenada is proficient in the use of firearms, as he carries a gun with him. He and the other mobsters also know how to torture people which Batman threatens to let them do to Drexel.
