Robinson Park is a public park located in Gotham City. Usually depicted as part of its midtown island, it contains one of the city's reservoirs and botanical gardens. Robinson Park has often served as a hideout or place of operations for Poison Ivy, who has used it as her domain.

History[]

During No Man's Land, Poison Ivy took control of its plant life there and defended the park, planning to make it a tropical paradise. During the earthquake, sixteen children were orphaned and asked if they could stay in the park with her, to which Ivy agreed to due to her own traumatic experience.[citation needed]

Background Information and Notes[]

Robinson Park is heavily based on New York City's Central Park, which also serves as one of the major real-life influences on Gotham City. The park is named after Jerry Robinson, one of the early artists of Batman stories, and co-creator of Dick Grayson and the Joker.
