Ryan served as the personal driver for crime lord Carmine Falcone.
History[]
Ryan drove Falcone to the docks where Falcone's thugs unloaded boxes of stuffed animals carrying narcotics and Fear Toxin from ship crates. Batman arrived, prompting in all of Falcone's men being overtaken and attacked while Falcone and Detective Flass were seated in the back of the car. During the scramble, Flass left the scene but Falcone went to investigate, leaving Ryan alone in the car.
At some point, Ryan was incapacitated by Batman, unbeknownst to Falcone who returned to the car and asked for him to start the car. Ryan's lack of response led Falcone to realize that he was unconscious and thus Falcone loaded his shotgun in response, only to be captured by the dark knight. Ryan was later seen amongst Falcone and his thugs who had been apprehended by James Gordon and the GCPD.

Trivia[]
- Ryan's name was entirely improvised by Tom Wilkinson on the spot during filming of the scene. Wilkinson felt it would improve the tone and shock for Falcone's character. Christopher Nolan agreed, as well as stating that name of the stand-in was actually Colin, however they would still use Wilkinson's choice of name.
