The Scarecrow was a criminal from Gotham City and an enemy of Batman. Utilizing a hallucinatory fear toxin, his goals were to spread fear on a global scale. Believed dead after the Joker destroyed Metropolis, Scarecrow returned as a member of the Society.
History[]
Scarecrow's history is assumed to be the same as his Prime-Earth counterpart up until the bombing of Metropolis. As part of his schemes to drive Superman insane, the Joker attacked Crane, leaving him comatose from his Joker Toxin. Scarecrow was later found by the Flash and Batman, where they presumed him to be dead.
Scarecrow later awoke to find the world now ruled by Superman and his Regime. Fleeing to Bludhaven, he rejoined with other Gotham criminals, including Black Mask, Mad Hatter, Bronze Tiger, Man-Bat, Tweedledum and Tweedledee. However, they were confronted by Robin, who fought the group. Though able to gain advantage over him, Deadman possessed Tiger and defeated them. They were presumably taken into Regime custody.

- Psychology: Crane is a genius psychiatrist specializing in anxiety disorders (specifically phobias).
- Toxicology: His chemical genius led him to the creation of his potent fear-inducing chemicals.
- Spanish: Scarecrow seems to know Spanish as desmonstrated by his battle with Blue Bethis when he understood the foreign translation of his name (E'spantapájaros) and mentioning Beetle's grandmother (abuela).
Trivia[]
- Scarecrow's voice actor, Robert Englund, had previously voiced other DC villains, including the Riddler in The Batman and Felix Faust in Justice League and Justice League Unlimited.
- Englund is also famous for portraying Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, another villain that uses fear and nightmare hallucinations on his victims.
