Selma Reesedale is a character created for the DC Animated Universe where she was an officer in the GCPD's special-crimes unit.
History[]
Selma Reesedale is a transgender woman who first joined the GCPD before her transition.
When Catwoman robbed the GCPD's dangerous evidence vault, Reesedale was the officer who attempted to stop her albeit unsuccessfully. Following this, Selma disappeared which left Selina to be the prime suspect in the kidnapping. In reality however, Selma disappeared due to Commissioner Gordon's secretary Dora Smithy having stolen a polarity-ray from the vault which targeted everyone in Gotham with assigned-male cellular biology and made them disappear from Gotham for three days.
Three days later, Selma reappeared and aided in taking down Dora.
