Spellbinder was a villain with the ability to induce hypnotic visions in whomever he chooses.
History[]
Spellbinder is an experienced magician that has the power to take over the minds with hypnosis of a person who looks at the clock when it strikes nine. He obtains control over Gotham's butlers to steal valuables from their employers. Spellbinder controlled Gotham's wealthy into giving up their prized possessions.
When he attempted to steal a rare gem, Spellbinder was stopped by The Batman. Despite a difficult fight against Spellbinder's tricks, The Batman was able to block out the illusions. With a well placed punch, The Batman knocked Spellbinder out cold.
In the episode "Rumors", he, along with other criminals, is captured by the vigilante Rumor.
