Sticky Bombs were tools used by Batman during his operations. They would attach to objects through a magnetic base and were activated by a switch on their top. The top of the bombs contained a LED system which counted down their time to detonation. A Sticky Bomb Launcher was also used to project the devices at long range and kept on a holster on the Batsuit's right leg.

History[]

The Sticky Bombs were created by Batman by October of his second year. They were stored in a dispenser on his utility belt.

Battle at Gotham Square Garden[]

Batman presumably made use of the sticky bombs to blow up the skylight of Gotham Square Garden to draw Riddler's Followers's attention away from Bella Reál and civilians at the venue. When cornered by the group on the central display, Batman used a sticky bomb to detonate a fire extinguisher. The charge and extinguisher's detonation created a smokescreen which hid the vigilante from the gunmen, allowing him to ambush them.

Behind the Scenes[]

In the shooting script, the Sticky Bombs were referred to as "Explosive Charges". Like the final film, they were only used to detonate a fire extinguisher to create a smokescreen, though Batman used multiple of them to detonate more of them and threw these at the followers. In concept art, the Sticky Bombs are only referred to as "Explosives", though The Art of The Batman refers to them as Sticky Bombs. They were presumably designed by Jamie Wilkinson.
