The Batman Part II is the upcoming sequel to The Batman. Robert Pattinson will reprise the role as Batman whilst Matt Reeves is set to return as director with Mattson Tomlin as his new writing partner, replacing Peter Craig.[1] Dylan Clark will once again oversee the production as he does with every iteration of The Batman Saga.
The film is currently scheduled for release on October 2, 2026.

Production[]
During production of The Batman, plans were made to set up a new Batman film series focusing on Robert Pattinson's Batman. After the film's success, the film was green-lit and announced to be in development during CinemaCon 2022.[2] The film's title was announced in January 2023 by DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran. Despite rumors that the film and its universe would be incorporated into the new DC Film Universe, the film was confirmed to be completely separate from any other DCU project.[3]
Initially scheduled for October 3, 2025,[3] the film was later delayed to the following year due to production delays caused by the SAG-AFTRA strikes in 2023.[4]
