- Jean-Paul Valley - the second person to take on the role of Batman in the Knightfall arc Jean is also referred to as the Dark Knight. Valley wore a distinctive bulky armored suit resembling a high-tech Knight, he is also a literal Knight in the Order of St. Dumas.
- Dick Grayson - the third person to take on the role of Batman, wearing only the standard costumes the public had no reason to believe he was not the original Dark Knight.
- Jace Fox - another individual to assume the Batman identity
