The Joker was a clown-themed criminal and member of the Legion of Doom. The self-professed arch-nemesis of Batman, he was obsessed with the Dark Knight and their rivalry. Joker was also the ex-boyfriend of Harley Quinn, who he frequently abused or . After she broke up with him, Joker initially lashed out against Quinn and attempted to sabotage her attempts of becoming a legitimate supervillain. However, after a period of being rendered "normal", Joker would apparently reform and become Gotham's mayor after running against James Gordon and Two-Face.
