Tiffany Fox is the eldest child of Lucius Fox who was also a friend of Bruce Wayne. After joining Wayne Enterprises to become closer to their line of work, she tragically lost her father to an attack orchestrated by the Riddler. Following this, she became involved with either Amanda Waller's Agency or Batman's war on crime.

Biography[]

Tiffany Fox was born at least twenty years before the Riddler's return to Gotham. The eldest child of Lucius Fox and his wife, she was the only one of the children that shared her father's love of technology and gadgets. Despite how little time they had together, she and her father would spend much of it designing various devices, such as rockets and drones.

Tiffany also became friends with billionaire Bruce Wayne and his butler Alfred Pennyworth. She and her siblings would spend time at Wayne Manor, though her last visit ended with her and Luke, her younger brother, breaking a set of prized china. Shortly after graduating from Cornell University, she decided to join Wayne Enterprises, hoping to work closely with her father and Bruce.

Tiffany shows his new drone to Bruce

During her first day of work, Tiffany skipped out of orientation to meet with her father, who she found in Bruce's office. Scouting out with a drone she had created, she alerted them to her presence and entered the office. Tiffany gave Bruce the drone as a present, though noticed that there was something different about the billionaire. She also took notice of a mysterious object on Bruce's desk, which she showed much interest in. Wanting to know more about it, she offered to help investigate it. Deciding to leave, she left the two to return to orientation.

When her father's office was destroyed by an explosion caused by the Riddler, Tiffany was one of the first people to investigate and saw her father's corpse. Horrified by what she found, she was left in severe grief and began looking for people to blame. At her father's funeral, she meets with Bruce, who tried to comfort her and help her through the trauma. When she confronts him about whether the device he'd given to his father was responsible for his death, the following will happen. If Bruce admits that he did, Tiffany will express her frustrations and promising to find out what he was involved in and make it public. If Bruce lies about the device not being responsible for her father's death, Tiffany will apologize for doubting him and profess the anger she has felt since his death. After crying in his arms, she leaves to comfort her family. As he leaves, he thanks her for his comfort.

Shortly afterwards, Tiffany was talked to by "John Doe", who made a series of inappropriate jokes. When Bruce took the man away, she joined her mother and siblings to listen to the sermon. Tiffany was among the individuals who noticed John Doe cause disruption during the sermon. Afterwards, she saw Bruce, who had been sitting beside the man, talk to Alfred, though did not talk to him as he and Alfred left.

At some point, she deduced that the Riddler was responsible for her father's death and set up plans to murder him in retaliation. Creating a cocktail of deadly psychoactive agents, she tracked the criminal down to his personal barge, the Lady of Dublin, but chose to snipe him from the Gotham Bridge. Using a drone, she shot Riddler after the criminal was defeated by Batman. Though she was seen, Tiffany managed to escape the scene and avoid capture.

The Pact[]

Tiffany confronts Bruce

Tiffany confront Bruce in the secret lab

In the following days, Tiffany investigated her father's office and labs, eventually finding a secret lab in the basement of the building. She quickly realized that Bruce and her father had been involved in experimental weaponry and discovered the Phalanx Key, a device that could unlock all electronically locks. When she saw Bruce enter the building with John Doe and Harley Quinn, she locked down the vault and hid inside, using an experimental gun to protect her. Depending on whether Bruce lied to her at the funeral, the following will happen.

If Bruce told the truth to her, she will confront him as he tries to find the Phalanx Key and confront him about the weaponry. Believing this to be the reason why her father died, Tiffany is also discovered by John. Wanting to protect her, Bruce asks Tiffany to hand over the key so that she is not discovered by Harley Quinn. Depending on dialogue chosen, the following may happen.
Tiffany gets caught by Harley

Tiffany gets caught by Harley Quinn

If Bruce is honest with her and able to convince her to hand over the device, Tiffany will give it to him and put trust in his actions. She remains hidden in the vault until he, John and Harley leave.
If Bruce is unable to convince her to hand it over, Tiffany will try to escape with the Phalanx Key, only to be caught by Harley. Realizing that they were involved in her father's murder, she is able to escape, either after Harley is distracted by Bruce or when the pledges allegiance to her and her friends.

If Bruce lied to her at the funeral, Tiffany will confront him as he enters the vault. Having been lied to by him and believing him to be involved with criminals, Tiffany scolds him for doing so and refuses to comply with him. When John enters the vault, Tiffany stuns him with the gun and tries to escape, only to be caught by Harley. Realizing that they were involved in her father's murder, she is able to escape, either after Harley, is distracted by Bruce or when the pledges allegiance to her and her friends.

Fractured Mask[]

Believing Bruce to be either in danger or involved in criminal activities, Tiffany called the GCPD and arranged for Bruce to be brought into custody with Commissioner Gordon. When Bruce entered his office, she confronted him and stood by as Gordon and his officers arrested him. If Bruce had managed to convince her to hand over the Phalanx Key, Tiffany will object to Gordon's treatment of Bruce. When Amanda Waller arrived to force him to stand down, she was shocked to learn Bruce was actually under the Agency's protection.

Tiffany talks to Bruce

After Gordon left, having been fired by Waller, Tiffany finally talked to Bruce and learnt why he was under their protection. She realized that her father had been killed because of his involvement in Bruce's work, but was unable to understand why him. Depending on how the conversation goes, Tiffany can either leave without answers or learn that Bruce is actually Batman. If the latter outcome occurs, she learns that her father created most of his technology and vows to take his place, and help him in his operations. She then apologizes for calling the GCPD and thanks Bruce for his honesty. Regardless of the outcome, she leaves the office to allow Bruce privacy to talk with Waller and Special Agent Avesta.

What Ails You[]

Depending on whether Bruce revealed his activities to Tiffany, the following will happen.

Tiffany reaction

Tiffany's reaction to Bruce revealing he's Batman

If Bruce chose not to tell her, Tiffany is approached by Amanda Waller and impressed by her initiative, offers to recruit her into the Agency. She is called by Alfred to come to Wayne Manor to hide from Harley Quinn, who threatened her life when Bruce betrayed the Pact. After Alfred falls unconscious, Tiffany stays with him to comfort him, during which she reveals Waller's offer asks Bruce's advice for the decision. Depending on dialogue chosen, she decides to leave Wayne Enterprises and join the Agency, or learns Bruce is Batman. Regardless of how the conversation plays out, she stays with Alfred whilst Bruce leaves for another matter. If Bruce finally tells her he's Batman, Alfred fills her in on Bruce's journey to his crusade as the vigilante.

Tiffany and his suit designs

If Bruce revealed his activities as Batman to her, Tiffany begins designing a number of tools and gadgets for herself, planning to join him in the field. She also designs a rifle for Bruce to use, having heard about his almost fatal encounter with Bane by Alfred. Tiffany is called to Wayne Manor to hide from Harley Quinn after Bruce betrays the Pact. When Alfred falls unconscious, Tiffany stays with him whilst a doctor is called to treat him. During it, she reveals the designs for the gear. After unveiling the gun, Bruce and Alfred reveals that he doesn't use them as Batman, leading them to explain why he doesn't use them. Regardless of Bruce's answers, Tiffany apologizes for not considering whether he used them and stays with Alfred whilst e investigates a lead.

Same Stitch[]

Depending on whether Tiffany is aware of Bruce's activities as Batman and whether "John Doe" has become either a vigilante or criminal, the following will happen.

Agent Fox help Batman

Agent Fox helps discover the location of the Joker's hideout.

If Bruce hadn't told her his secret and "John Doe" has become the vigilante Joker, Tiffany joins the Agency as a special agent and helps them search for Joker. After Waller is kidnapped, she is part of an Agency taskforce that investigates his attack at the Riddler's lair in the East End. Meeting with Gordon and Batman, she leads the two into the crime scene, despite being ordered not to. Using her drone, Tiffany helps them investigate the crime scene and discover the location of Joker's hideout: the disused Ace Chemical Processing Plant. When Harley Quinn attacks, Tiffany can help subdue her by hacking her shock collar, if she found Special Agent Harrison's controls for Bane's. After the encounter with Quinn, Tiffany follows Batman to find Waller and Joker.
Whilst Batman fights Joker's gang, Tiffany makes her way to the walkways to chase after him. Just as she arrives, Joker is close to killing Waller for falsely believing she is responsible for Riddler's death. Unwilling to let the Director die for her crimes, Tiffany stops him and admits to killing Riddler, presenting evidence to support her claim. Out of anger, Joker throws a "Jokerang" at her, which becomes impaled in her hand, and prepares to attack her. Whilst Batman gets into his path and fights him, Tiffany escapes with Waller whilst he fights Joker. She later has her injury treated at a hospital and receives an order to leave Gotham at City Hall.

Tiffany is confronted by Batman for killing Riddler

As she approaches the helicopter she must leave in, Tiffany is met by Batman, who confronts her on Riddler's murder. Revealing her motives for the confession, she confronts the vigilante on his connection to her father, knowing he had been working with him before his death. Believing her murder to be justified, she then leaves for the helicopter, during which Batman shares some final words with her, promising either to lock her up, telling her not to forget who she is or warning her about Waller. Regardless of what is chosen, Tiffany leaves Gotham to continue working for the Agency.

Bruce, Tiffany and Alfred

Tiffany in the Batcave with Bruce and Alfred

If Bruce told her he was Batman and "John Doe" has become the vigilante Joker, Tiffany is called in by Alfred to help assist Bruce in his search for Joker. Having finished creating her tactical gear, Tiffany goes to the Batcave and puts it on, whilst Alfred and Bruce talk about Joker's actions. As Bruce leaves to investigate Riddler's lair, where Joker and his crew made their first appearance, Tiffany appears and offers to help Bruce in the field. If Bruce decides to have her stay behind, she gives her drone so she can monitor him in the field. However, if he accepts her help, she is told to put on a mask and leaves with him in the Batmobile.
If Tiffany is allowed to operate in the field with Batman, she is told what to do and meets with Sgt. Montoya. She also briefly tests her voice modulation feature, but turns it off after it malfunctions. Brought into the crime scene, she meets with Gordon for what seems to be the first time. Regardless of what was chosen, Tiffany uses her drone to investigate the crime scene, helping Batman and the GCPD find evidence to where Joker and his gang are hiding. Using evidence found, Tiffany locates Joker at the disused Ace Chemical Processing Plant, where one of his accomplices previously worked. When Harley Quinn attacks, Tiffany can help subdue her by hacking her shock collar, if she found Special Agent Harrison's controls for Bane's. Regardless of whether Bruce told her to stay behind, Tiffany leaves to help him investigate Ace Chemicals.
Tiffany confesses the truth

Tiffany admits she killed Riddler

Upon arriving, Tiffany uses her drone to scout out the location, finding Joker, his accomplices and Waller in the main mixing chamber. Hiding in the rafters, she tells Bruce about her findings and, if he asks her to, uses her drone to stop Joker from murdering Waller. As he prepares to kill her for her supposed involvement in Riddler's death, Tiffany makes her presence known and, unwilling to have the Director murdered for her crime, confesses to Riddler's murder, presenting evidence to support her claim. Angered at her crime, Joker throws a "Jokerang" at her, which becomes impaled in her hand, and attacks her. Before he can get close, Batman jumps in the vigilante's path and Tiffany escapes with Waller whilst he confronts Joker.
Tiffany with injured hand

Tiffany with his injured hand at City Hall

After having her injury treated, Tiffany overlooks Gotham from City Hall, playing with her drone. When Batman appears, Tiffany reveals why she confessed to her crime and reveals she has been dreading to confront him on the matter. Revealing her motives for Riddler's murder, she asks Bruce whether he understood her reasons why. Regardless of his response, she then asks him what he plans to do, expecting him to hand her over to the authorities.
If Batman decides to hand her over or remains silent, Tiffany decides to go on the run from him and jumps of the roof, using her drone to hover in the air. Leaving some final words to Bruce, she then flies away, now a wanted fugitive.
If Batman decides to not turn her in but instead give her a second chance and train her, Tiffany accepts his offer and, overwhelmed with relief, hugs him. Promising not to let him down, she flies over the city with him, now officially part of his crusade.

Batman and Tiffany

Batman and Tiffany in Divinity Church

If Bruce hadn't told her his identity and "John Doe" has become the criminal Joker, Tiffany joins the Agency and, presumably, is part of their search for him and Harley Quinn. After learning about a bomb in Divinity Church, Tiffany joins Avesta to help Batman defuse the bomb, meeting the vigilante for what seems be the first time for her. Using the drone she has created, they discover the location of the bomb and helps the vigilante defuse it. Upon finding a chemical signature, Tiffany decides to run it through her superiors to find Joker.
On her way back to the GCPD, Tiffany is captured by the Joker, taken to the Bonus Brothers Carnival and locked inside a coffin in the "Who-Done-It?" puzzle room. After hours of being locked inside, she is eventually freed by Bruce, who has also been captured and forced into the game by Joker. Telling him how she was captured, Selina Kyle (Catwoman), who was also captured, discovers a sticker with her face on it. Bruce and Selina quickly realize that Tiffany is Riddler's murderer, forcing her to confess to the crime. Selina, who was a friend of the departed criminal, attacks her in retaliation, only to stop after learning that she's Lucius' daughter, or if Bruce gets her off her back, she will tell him that her friend killed her father. As they leave the room, Tiffany asks Bruce to talk about her actions after they escape.
Entering the next room, the group are forced by Joker and Harley Quinn to take part in a family dinner. With Alfred soon joining them, Tiffany, like the others, is forced to take part in a game of "Never Have I Ever...", though she doesn't admit to either lying or manipulating others. After Bruce notices Joker's knife by her foot, he signals to her to pass it over to him, which she does. As the Joker forces her to take the card, Tiffany distracts him and Quinn by refusing to take part and insulting them, giving Bruce the opportunity to take knife and cut his bonds. When Bruce engages the two in combat, Tiffany knocks out one of their men and, after Selina breaks open the door, leaves with Alfred to inform the GCPD and Agency.
After the ordeal, Amanda Waller offers to arrest Tiffany and send her to court for her murder of Riddler, though gives Batman the opportunity to speak with her. If he chooses to have her arrested, Waller does so and has her sent to be trial. It's unknown where Tiffany is sent, but likely to be Blackgate Penitentiary.
If Batman chooses to speak with her, Tiffany is confronted by him as she leaves Gotham from City Hall. Surprised that he has heard about her actions, she reveals her motives and confronts the vigilante on his connection to her father, knowing he had been working with him before his death. Believing her murder to be justified, she then leaves for the helicopter, during which Batman shares some final words with her, promising either to lock her up, telling her not to forget who she is or warning her about Waller. Regardless of what is chosen, Tiffany leaves Gotham to continue working for the Agency.

Bruce and Tiffany Laboratory

Tiffany helps Bruce locate one of the Joker's bombs

If Bruce told Tiffany he's Batman and "John Doe" has become the criminal Joker, she continues to work for Wayne Enterprises for the next couple of weeks. When Joker and Harley Quinn release Project LOTUS throughout Wayne Enterprises, she is able to avoid the weapon and find a gasmask. Making her way to the boardroom, she is able to find Bruce and helps him get to her father's lab. Shaken by the experience, she helps him and Alfred locate one of the bombs. Whilst she remains behind whilst he goes to the location, she gives him her drone to help investigate. Before Bruce leaves, she asks why he continues to help the city, despite how hard situations get.
When Batman arrives at the church, Tiffany uses her drone to investigate the area, giving him the controls to use it. After he defuses the bomb, she detects traces of a chemical agent on it and decides to catalogue it, so they can locate Joker's hideout. After Alfred looses contact with Bruce whilst he investigates the disused Ace Chemical Processing Plant, Tiffany tries to track him down, believing he needs help. Eventually, she is captured by either Joker, Harley or their men, after either locating them at the Bonus Brothers Carnival or whilst she looks for Bruce. She is then tied up and locked inside a coffin in the "Who-Done-It?" puzzle room at the carnival.

Tiffany at City Hall

Tiffany playing with her drone at City Hall

If Bruce decides to confront her himself, he finds Tiffany on the roof of Gotham City Hall, playing with her drone. When he makes his presence known, Tiffany reveals that she has been working up the courage to tell him and apologizes that he found out through Joker.

Personality[]

According to Tiffany, she was a quiet person who kept to herself. She was also highly intelligent, having graduated Cornell, and showed a clear interest in gadgets and technology. Tiffany had a clear sense of right and wrong, often acting whenever she could to stop anyone she believed to be involved in illegal activities. Whenever she was fazed with a problem or a mystery, she would never stop investigating until she discovered a solution or discovered the truth.

After her father's death, the grief she felt was put into these skills and she would eventually try to uncover his and Bruce's involvement with an explosion at Wayne Enterprises. Blinded by anger, she would also murder the Riddler in revenge for his part in the attack and putting her family into disarray. Depending on whether she joins Bruce's operations as Batman or the Agency, Tiffany would see it as either part of the greater good or an action she would regret tremendously.

Trivia[]

  • In the comics and prior to Crisis on Infinite Earths, the comic book iteration of Lucius had a daughter named Tiffany Fox. However, she was never involved in Batman's activities or in her father's line of work. She was later reintroduced during "The New 52" (a reboot of the DC Comics universe), but as a young child.
  • Tiffany's family (Telltale)
At the end of The Enigma, Tiffany's model is actually "John Doe's" instead of her own. This was likely done to misdirect the player into believing the latter murdered Riddler.
  • How Tiffany discovered that Riddler was responsible for her father's death is never explained. However, it's possible she deduced it after learning of Lucius' involvement with Batman.
  • Depending on the player's choices, Bruce can tell Tiffany that he is Batman. If he does, she offers to help him fight crime with or without his approval. If he doesn't reveal his secret to her, she will join the Agency.
  • Tiffany's family is briefly shown during her father's funeral, her mother could be Tanya in this version, as well as her brother Luke.
